Women are the least communist people out there. They're absolute capitalists.Consumerism wasn't as prevalent when men were still the bread winners. The man bought what was needed for the household and that was that. Something is old and out of fashion? Doesn't matter so long it's not broken and still works. Something broke? Fix it if you can. Can't fix it? Then maybe consider buying something a new one. The woman occasionally got an allowance to buy herself something nice...not expensive. The capitalists obviously didn't like that which is why they gave women the right to vote and integrated them in the work force. They started earning their own money and gained purchasing power. A new consumer was born. Now guess who is consuming the most. Who always wants the newest, trendiest shit. Who always goes out buying clothes and shoes they don't need. Make up and skin care products that are over the top and unnecessary. Who are most of the advertisements always aimed at?...Exactly.
