A lot of things changed with how mainstream anime is now. Yeah it sucks we got bullied for it growing up, but it is what it is. I don't even watch anime anymore and haven't for 10 or some odd years, because my favorite genre (actual good seinen) went on the backburner since 2012 at the absolute latest.
