This world a lie. Your life is a lie. Every meaningful relationship you ever had is a lie. It is the easy way to believe that there is some higher meaning to your experiences with another human being and call it a "meaningful relationship." We are mammals first and foremost, creatures able to do anything to survive and maximize survival rate. It just so happened to be that our intelligence is what increased our survival rate, and thus we are cursed with this awareness. It is the same as our emotions. It just so happened to be that such emotions such as "love" exists because it simply allows us coexist easier. It is not anything special, meaningful, holy, nor beautiful. It is simply biologic.

There is a reason why the romans believed the ideal relationship was between man and male-twink, with breedable female on the side to produce children after all. Pretty much all social structures exist because it provides us biologic benefits, and our emotions and interactions afterwards only result to perpetuate such structures. There isn't anything more meaningful than that and it would be wishful thinking otherwise.
