If they want you as well, there's no problem. No different than anyone else. There's nothing that a similar age contributes.A XX year old the same age as me who grew up with a different cultural context means nothing just because they're the same age, it doesn't mitigate a terrible personality, etc. The fact that it makes some people uncomfortable is their problem not mine.
