All the creative energy on this website has been gone since the pandemic, or at least 2016. Yotsuba is old. Nobody remembers flash. The only things of any real value left are on the video game boards or boards meant for media. The oldfags have either grown up or they have perished, regardless of that so many stories that have been created here were wiped out for various reasons, and no one posts through a PC anymore. This site is indeed lacking imagination, but it's also because nobody is seeing anything and archiving it, and mass appeal/simplicity always wins in the end. A schizophrenic prophecy about otherworldly and completely undefinable beings, a certain forbidden image of an alien, that one time a bunch of anons thought they caught an anomaly on /pol/ but it was actually just a lake/earth ship and the actual US government got involved all pale in comparison to the simplicity of the jak: Because you said or support this, you are this Onions wojak who is seething hard. The backrooms is a different case for a variety of reasons that I can't be bothered listing, but this is why the OC is being made by another party.
