Has anyone on this board ever experienced full-blown delirium tremens? If so, what is it like?

I've experienced witnessing them. It looks like a grand mal seizure. Doesn't look fun at all. There are pills that you can get prescribed to prevent them during withdrawal.

I had one in 2012 fortunately it only happened once and got it under control. Now I only drink beer every once in a while.
