My grandmother had dementia, my dad asked me to put him down if he ever gets it.

Absolutely. A loved one forgetting who you are has to be one of the most emotionally painful things imaginable.

I think her mom is faking it and theyre doing it as a grift.

Look at the mom specifically looking at the camera and immediately changing her behavior and getting into position when she starts filming.

In this one shes openly talking about dementia when her mom is right there with her.

Putting your demented mom on social media is in poor taste.

And yes, death is vastly preferable to having dementia. I'd rather be tortured by the cartel than have dementia.

The cool thing about dementia is that if you have any grudges against your parents you basically get a free pass to smack the shit out of them every day and they'll forget about it when they wake up. Ngl it makes me envy those caretakers that beat the shit out of the elderly you know they're antagonizing the fuck out of them pissing and shitting all over them and living in pigsties they don't take care of. I was practically punching the fucking air self inserting through the last one I watched lol

same here. my grandma was pretty sharp until the end but had bad MS that made her wheelchair bound 20+ years until she died. my mom always privately told me to pull the plug if she ever got that bad

This is one of my biggest fears as dementia runs in the family and I have the gene that makes it more likely to develop. It's why I hope I drop dead before it kicks in. Seeing it in action just shows that mercy killing should be a thing.

You sound just like Asmongold.

Just keep a loaded gun with the safety off next to your mechanical toothbrush, the problem will solve itself
