My phone storage is full and I swear there's a 20 gb missing somewhere.I counted my apps size with a pen and paper just to check.
>>85420002you have a virus. like a really big one. if you dont throw your phone out the window right now it will continue to expand and explode your phone in your hand.
>>85420024Hu tao, consider it done, the virus seems to be an app called genshin impact.>Throw phone A lady with a flying pop corn machine just came out of nowhere and snatched it from air I'll finally buy an iphone now that I'm free
It has something to do with hardware manufacturers and your device's software having a different idea of what a gigabyte is. The manufacturer claims you get 256GB, the phone's software claims you have 236GB. This has always been the way storage devices work and nobody seems to question it or care.
>>85420056Damn, I guess it do be like that, the common advice from my sister and people online is either to factory reset the whole thing or bite the bullet and buy a new phone It's interesting anon, I'll research more about this topic, thank you for letting me in the know
>>85420073Factory resetting it would obviously free up a lot of space and give you a clean slate, I'd try that once you have anything important backed up (passwords, photos, contacts, etc.). I don't think that your missing 20GB has anything to do with a malfunction or a virus or anything like that, it's probably just that your phone's marketing lied to you. Every company lies a little bit about this exact thing.
