you ever consider being Buddhist?
supposedly you're supposed to treat every human like the future buddhas since the goal of Buddhism is for all beings to become enlightened buddhas.
you think you could do something like that anon, respect everyone even people you don't like?

>being Buddhist
Buddhism has no formal "baptism" ritual
If you think to yourself that you believe in the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha, then you're good
Like that's it

I try to respect all beings but I'm being realistic in saying that not all beings deserve a happy ending

that's the thing about Buddhism, all beings deserve a happy ending. not thinking that to be the case is holding you back from ascending.
but i guess we all have that thought as well, that's why it's so impossible for people to ascend, to truly believe that even demons and every being should ascend and become enlightened.

but i don't know if being enlightened is a permanent thing, because Buddhist also believe in everything being transient, that's like the only thing that's constant is that everything changes, so does that mean if everyone became enlightened, would they one day stop being enlightened since everything changes?
i don't know enough about Buddhism and it's end goal, just a few things i've read here and there.

well let me correct myself, not a happy ending but rather fereedom from suffering. happiness "is like a drop of dew on a blade of grass" freedom from suffering doesn't mean happiness per se, just peace i guess, like i said i don't know the end goal, just that you're not supposed to chase happiness or suffering, but rather freedom from both those things.

on the contrary, Buddhism teaches the Middle Way
Neither full-on aggressiveness nor total passivity

Karma is a big thing in Buddhism, y'know? Can't escape the sins you've committed in your life
