For those who weren't blessed with getting Neet bucks, what are some work horror stories?
>>
>>85425505
My store manager did Coke regularly and I walked in on him railing the team leader in the meet chiller
>>
>>85425505
>>85425542
Not my personal experience but a few of my friends worked at a local Zaxby's and it was an open secret that their married female manager would regularly take one of their underage coworkers into the walk in freezer and blow him
>>
>>85425505
A forklift driver decided to get drunk and take meth before his shift.

He killed someone. I didn't see the impact, but I did see the aftermath
>>
>>85425505
Every job I've had save for my chicken tenders job
>>
>>85425505
not terrible but i worked at a bar and one of my coworkers fucks girls in the bathroom
>>
I'm on neet bux and also working. The job has given me injuries due to repetitive use. I am autistic and didn't do my due diligence in making said injuries known fast enough. Now I'm struggling very hard trying to navigate because it's my first time and my ability advocate for myself verbally is poor. My employer is misrepresenting things to the work injury people, trying to get me to sign forms that it wasn't work related. Outside of work I do no strenuous activities.

If my claim is denied I will have to pay for recovery out of pocket because neet bux do not cover the specialist fees. Which means I was working to pay for the job hurting me.

I can no longer use the computer or progress in my art or storytelling as I used to. This is a horror story for me currently. I was just starting to put my life together. Now it's ruined with no way to progress and I still have no idea how long it might I will return to normal function. Never trust your employer. Report all work related pain immediately in writing. Be a narc. They will fuck your life up to save a few bucks and if you're not careful with words or procedure you have no recourse. Please take care of yourself and your bodies young anons.
>>
>>85425542
Did you ever ask to join in or catch any smells?
>>
>>85425643
Going thru the same shit but I have a lawyer. Gonna end up needing surgery and won't be able to work for months.
>>
my company literally has a "social media policy" for all union employees and if i say anything about the job without approval from the company i run risk of being shitcanned, because if we talked about the less than stellar working conditions online we'd probably tank shareholder value in 24hrs
(it's a railroad that starts with the letter C)

I work in a warehouse full of man-children of all age ranges, and almost all backgrounds. Geriatric Boomers, YNs, felons, sexual predators, pencil-necked corpos, you name it. I'm going to study as I post in this thread, but ask away if you want; picrel is the type of shit I deal with on a daily basis, BY MY GODDAMNED SELF, 11 times out of 10.
>>
>>85425505
I had a manager and plant supervisor lie to my face about parts being cut wrong, then fired me

I asked for evidence and they said "we had to cut them up shorter, so we're firing you"

Last coworker got a mental breakdown and got fired because of it

Im on a 3day suspension for 3 mins late, now planning on quitting my job

I got fired 6 hrs into a 10 hr job because management didnt like me
>>
>>85425811
If it's three letters, then I wonder if I know you. Strange seeing someone else on /r9k/ from there.
>>
>>85425505
> be me
>work at a conservation corp
>in the same week find out about someone getting groped, another person self-harming, and then a kid fucking dies on someone else's crew
This was after an entire summer of watching retards in supervisory positions fuck up the simplest tasks.
>>
If I cut myself at work with a box cutter or whatever could I say I got cut in the cooler by metal and racks and sue?
>>
>>85425854
Any of them cool? Any fun stories?

None of them are 'cool;' I'm the workplace pariah. But, because I'm physically strong (and can prove it), fast, and actually do the job better than most, they just seethe from a distance; no one fucks with me directly, and this often translates to the female coworkers going out of their way to avoid talking to or being around me as well. Some of my loudest haters have disappeared over the years, either being fired, transferred, or straight up dying (thank you COVID).

There was that one time two male coworkers were tag-teaming the same female supervisor, then got into a fight about it on the work floor itself. They were both fired, and the supervisor herself laughed about it WITH HER WIFE.
>>
>>85425854
I kinda wnat to do this kinda work or at least try it out. How do I get one of these jobs?

I applied directly to the company in 2017 (I won't say which one, because OPSEC), but a typical way is to go through temp agencies and really prove that you can do the job during your probationary period. That's how I got my first warehouse job in 2008, but the Economic Downturn (among other reasons) saw me fired after 3 months.
>>
>>85426126
and hows your living situation? Is the money okay?
>>
>>85426172

Not the best, but admittedly better than it was in 2018 (pipes and such are, more or less, fixed now)
>money
I make 25.75 an hour now, mostly because I've been at this place for so long. Up from 16.50 when I started. Sorry about the delay, I'm reading.
>>

Absolutely not, for a couple of reasons:
>he looks like a badass cage-fighter, muscles and tats included
>he has an accent, possibly Scottish, so he'd really fuck my shit up
>he's bald
Really not someone I'd mess with. As I've said, we have a garden variety of..."individuals" at this job, a few of whom only look/act hard but are actually as 'hard' as baby diarrhea. This guy though, I don't know; he might have actually been SAS or something.
>>

It can happen. About a year ago, someone punctured a huge tote with organic oxide in it, apparently causing an explosion of sorts. They didn't say who it was, but the floor was forever changed as a result.

>>85425643
tangential but i think semi-related
autistic girl i know was being mega illegally underpaid (they owed her like over 10k), she wasn't comfortable or very good at self advocacy, eventually contacted the union about it, the business owner kept trying to do dodgies and shit and weasel out of admitting anything. turns out he was the bigger idiot - the union lawyer eventually managed to corner him into emailing over a document with evidence of how much he underpaid her, but with his worm brain he put "this document can not be used in a court of law as evidence" fine print at the bottom

which of course, made the case a slam dunk
always push everything as hard as you can and explore all options
>>
>>85425854
You used to live in south korea
>>
>>85426334
Man I would hate working in this sort of place as an autistic retard. Feels like a prison environment where the weakest would get picked on. I'm not hard at all id probably get preyed on and beaten the shit out of or something, whereas in other jobs I just get bullied
>>
>>85427507
Wait, so did she win the case or did he win the case? Why would that make it a slam dunk for her
>>
>>85427538
she won the case. it was a slam dunk because he sent written evidence of how much he actually owed her and thought he could make his own imaginary fine print that would make it inadmissable in court, which it obviously didn't. it wasn't even a notarized document, the fine print had spelling errors and everything
>>
Call center work. Really enough said there.
>>
>>85425505
ive worked at a UPS loading trailers for about a decade and became so attuned to it it was something i could comfortably do even up to christmas without sweating, but attempting to load package cars (the ups vans you see delivering mail) made me completely give up on a promotion i got. the high intensity stress and dependency on other people is what broke my will, plus people just being assholes. Trailers you can load and never have to communicate or depend on another person at all if you're proficient, trailers are almost 99% of the time there when you need them. Package cars can be late so you can play catchup on your volume for the entire shift, the supervisor who puts up the paper so you know what you're getting and how to visualize your workload can be late, they can forget to put the papers up, you will shoulder 100% of the blame for a bad load because you're the loader, you can be screamed at by coworkers your first day of sorting because it doesn't click instantly, you can draw the short straw out of half a dozen hires to the position and be the only one thrown into package cars on your first week even THOUGHHH you're probably the only one with double shifting experience doing what all the other hires were sent to do due to the "lacking trainers for everyone".

My entire life really boils down to not being able to count on anyone for shit ever and my regular work embodies this which is probably why I do well with it. Something where you need to depend so much on others for everything to go right is like a reminder of why my life fell apart early.
>>
>>85427593
How do retards like that become business owners
>>
>>85428065

I used to work in software and got laid off.
They laid me off at the beginning of my on-call shift which still had almost a week left.
My manager told me I had to stay and finish out my on call for the good of the team.
I asked him if I would lose severance for leaving now, he said no but I should still stay "out of respect for the team" and "to make their lives easier".
I said he shouldn't have laid me off out of respect for me and that he's making my life a lot harder.
Told him to have a nice day and have never talked to him again.

>'Meeting' at work
>20-something Stacy manager singles me out
>Tells me to stand and explain to everyone where I "went wrong" making a gesture like pic related
>Fuck if I know
>She then tells everyone that I made a minor filing error, and it's unacceptable
>Even though filing errors happen literally every day and can be fixed within minutes
>Then starts to yell at me for not making eye contact
>Meeting ends with rest of the staff giggling at me

... And that was the whole point of the meeting, just so she could get her daily power-fix and tell me off in front of everyone. I left pretty soon.

I just walked from my job. Almost made it 1 year. I physically couldn't force myself to stay so I just walked away and drove off. I need neetbux but I know if I tried they would deny me because I have work experience. Every job is this same cycle of pain and misery until I quit and put myself into some kind of desperate situation once again. What do I even do where do I go from here

I did. It's a long process, but it won't make any difference. At best I'll get like 100k. I have 60k to last me a year until that settles, but then what? I could easily make 100k in a year working 2 jobs. 100k to not be able to work for the rest of my life is nothing.

I work at a corporate casino and it is madness. Can't say which one but let's just say they're currently getting bought out by some wop with federal connections.

Corporate faggots constantly fucking up people's workflows and freezing all spending. You need to be a nepo baby to move up.

Security is full of meathead retards. They'll hire literally anyone, so you get drug addicts, bpd chicks, crusty old boomers, landwhales and sexual predators. You do favors to keep your job. Married, taken, doesn't matter.

A cocktail waitress got raped in the restroom and nobody was around to help. A valet attendant got mugged in the parking garage and they couldn't ID the guy because the cameras don't work. If a spree shooter ever found out about this place he could rack up an astronomical body count.

Cage is a henhouse, just catty bitches 24/7 who love to gossip and trash everyone, then they wonder why they can't keep new hires for more than a month.

Soft Count is 7 people for a casino half the size of the fucking city. Lots of ghetto baby mommas and creeps who don't shower. The boss is a cunt, she regularly fucks one of the leads and then protects them when they steal money.

Slot Attendants are lazy pieces of shit. They hide in the back scrolling ChinkTok all day. But when there's a hand pay for a jackpot, they show up like goblins and start pressuring the winner to tip them.

Used to be 5 slot mechanics. One entered a fugue state, got in his truck, T-boned someone, and died in the hospital. Another shot and killed himself. Manager turnover is insane.

Engineering doesn't fix shit. Vandalism everywhere. The building is crumbling and it's going to take multiple people dying for corporate to take action.

Place is filthy as fuck. The jannies are all immigrants and thugs. Bathrooms are horrid.

The next time you gamble, just remember that your losses aren't just hurting yourself, it's hurting everyone who works for the house.
>>
>>85430007

I work for a small manufacturing company, and most of our customers are much bigger companies that act as distributors since we don't have a sales team.
The whole company is just the 3 business office workers including me, 3 engineers, and 5 factory workers with a couple part time people who come in as needed.
We have been making "prototype batches" every few months for this one customer for almost 3 years now but they won't fucking place an order for a quantity of products that would actually make us any money.
The product is a liquid in a bottle, I'm not gonna go into specifics, but they take issue with the smallest things that no other customer has ever given a shit about.
They complained about tiny air bubbles under the labels on the bottles and tiny dents in the bottles, as well as a ton of shit that isn't our fault because it happened in transit after if left our facility. Go buy any plastic bottled product at a store, it will probably have a tiny dent in it or a wrinkle in the label. Nobody gives a shit.
This QA guy at their company sent us a laundry list of shit that needed to be fixed, and we did an investigation and sent back our findings.
He responded yesterday that it doesn't "meet their high standards" and we need to do all these corporate bloat procedures to basically give them the same information, and do a 100% inspection of 3 lots of product (literally impossible as the lots are so big).
They are not paying us nearly enough to warrant asking for this kind of shit, and I left the big corpo life to work for a small company that can get shit done without jumping through 1,000 hoops for months first.
Our head QA guy and I had a meeting with the President of our company and he basically said we're going to say no to all of that and if they take issue we walk, since this is a waste of time and money and we're all so sick of these people.

During college work at a local company's warehouse for cash. Literally just grunt labor. Move boxes stack shit etc (job easily replaced by robot but this was 2010).

Job had no official requirements for strength but if you read the ad you would think you understood you had to move heavy shit. Get job work in pairs because some boxes and product were heavy. Could lift alone but they did this to avoid workers comp claims. Get new manager dude looks like guy fieri. Spiked bleached hair the whole thing. Total scumbag. The warehouse was filled with guys like me decent sized and strong. He starts hiring cute girls that had no business working here. Get paired up with one of these girls. Cool shes hot but unless shes gonna be blowing me or something shes worthless at the job. Two man boxes become me doing it alone. She takes constant breaks. Manager doesnt care trying to fuck all these girls. They can literally get away with anything. Doing two man box alone girl next to me basically spotting me. Back gives and it drops. Lands on her foot. I get in trouble for hurting her despite she wasnt helping with the box. Manager punishes me by not putting me on shifts. I take it above his head. Turns out manager is related to owner. Owner basically tells me to get fucked. I quit.

Been years and i still burn with anger over it
>>
>>85425643
what injuries do you have?
>>
>>85430247
Yeah so imagine this but it's office jobs and the women just scroll tiktok all day instead of sending a few emails and making a powerpoint. but they don't get fired because the boomers in charge think they're hot and like having them around. That's basically the whole economy.
I knew a girl who was a high-level PM at Microsoft and was somehow one of the dumbest people I'd ever met. I got close to her because we lived near each other and she confided in me that she had been banging her ~50 year old married manager in exchange for promotions and basically not having to do anything at work. She was complaining about "trauma" and degrading herself as if her salary wasn't twice mine.

Use the right keywords while searching on job sites.
Inbound
Outbound
Call Center
Customer Service Representative.
Some places offer remote, some places require you to work in person. Some are in between, like training in person but the job at home, or in person for the bottom rung but if you move up to the audit team or other positions you work remotely.
>>
>>85429965
You don't always get the payout you deserve. Shit sucks. Someone in my training class for this work from home call center job is in a wheelchair. I think you should either focus on looking for resources that allow you to get retrained in lines of work that are more accommodating to your disability, or act under the assumption your disability will get worse as your condition deteriorates, and that you can appeal your decision and eventually qualify for disability

I used to work for a local pizzeria that had a permanent "help wanted" sign and a reputation for being a terrible place to work, I only stayed as long as I did because I was young and naive and desperate for any job at all

The owner was a fucking nutcase and a nightmare to work for, paid only like ten an hour under the table and constantly yelling and complaining at everyone

half of the days we weren't even at the pizzeria, he would drive us to his fucking house and do yard work for him

on the drive there he would smoke a shit ton of pot WHILE driving on the highway and go on these unhinged rants about "turning one of us (his employees) into a mini-me"

if you stopped working for literally three seconds to catch your breath from all the yardwork, he would be yelling at you

only job I ever just quit on the spot without notice

Women shouldn't be in the male workspace. I often think feminism, equal rights etc were all just an elaborate ploy to get away with stuff like this. It removes protections from women and treats them like men, which leads to predators coming in and turning them out into whores. It sucks

If you quit a job you don't get unemployment.
If you get fired, and fired for a nit good enough reason - something not your fault like a layoff, then you can get neetbux.
Not if you just walk away from a perfectly paying job.

>(it's a railroad that starts with the letter C)
From your original post here: >>85425811
I was originally guessing if you worked at the three letter one (>>85425909), but if you don't, then it doesn't bother me. I have never met someone else irl who browses /r9k/, so it surprised me thinking I might have run into someone who did. I don't care to do this type of stuff to people: >>85429308

>i don't work for big orange(although i wish i did)
I heard they're decent, but I don't know anyone who works there.

It's always a smart choice to never fully trust anyone, anon. It's always worked for me, but anyways, man, see you around. I'll leave this thread auto updating, but I'll be AFK.

I was a Medical Assistant and this happened when I was 18 and 19. I was taking the reason for visiting notes for a patient and the daughter of this really, really old lady (she was like 90) bursts in angry. She is quite old too. She screams loudly,`Tell her that she CANT be taking her pills with a bottle of Jack Daniels every morning!` I am a teenager so I stammer a bit and the daughter screams,`Tell her she cant be doing that!` Some nurses come in to try and calm the lady down and get her out of the patients room but she keeps angrily ranting about her mother. Looking back, I think if you live to be that old, you should just let her have the bottle of Jack Daniels at that point. Very baller. But I couldnt have said that like professionally n all that.

The psycho bitch that comes in every day and first thing in the morning is bitching and moaning and throwing a temper tantrum like a toddler for like the last 3 years
