Because I know enough to know what I will need or not. If you are just lying, then you are guessing and will probably be caught red handed.

The job had very little to do with computer vision so I was never called out on it or put into an awkward situation.

I'm a mechanical engineer.I led an investigation on reducing scrap rates in a factory since ~10% of products were being rejected, which is way more than any company would accept.I did all these experiments, made a ton of custom tools, and tried different methods that brought the failure rate down to maybe 8%.Then I found out one of our machines was just broken, fixed that without telling anyone, and it went down to 1% failure rate.I got a promotion because of it and presented my work to pretty much the entire C suite of the company.When I was looking for a new job later my manager wrote me this glowing letter of recommendation about how I was way too smart for my current role.I felt like an imposter at first but you have to figure everyone lies about something to get where they are, or embellishes some details.

I've seen one guy barely say a word and one guy talk waaay too much, both didn't get the job.I think its the entry level jobs where the boss is so cheap that they will call the shitty companies on your resume so they can save $2 in wages.I used to be neet and now have a good job, I use to think I had to be super grateful to be given an opportunity but these people are just pay you money in exchange for your life, its actually the company that should be grateful that workers are willing to give their time. You time is valuable, if you had to hire someone you would pay double or more.
