They say that your kindness will be repaid one day, but I've learned to never hold that expectation. So, I do acts of service for the sake of it or this incessant need to be useful and wanted by people. Genuinely, don't understand how people want each other naturally.Even my alcoholic father has a wife, who - while cruel, is willing to stay with him so he won't die of his own ineptitude. I honestly don't get it. There is probably a fundamental flaw in my character, but I've settled on me pushing people away as the reason to cope because it's a lot more optimistic than thinking that it's the world.
