Why does it feel like anti car fags think everyone is a single or childless 30 year old living in a developed urban area? What is their suggestion for areas where towns are tens of miles apart? Areas with regular extreme weather in different seasons? People with kids? People with mroe than 3 kids? People with disabilities? People who live in areas too poor to fund public transport? That describes my area pretty well. I like small cars and I like biking but the reality is that having a family means needing more space than the minimalist options these people suggest. Of course, I suppose these are also the same people who don't want kids and think no one else should have them either. A bunch of species-suicidal nihilistic freaks when you really get down to it.

I drive a Mazda3. I rented a Mitsubishi Mirage while it was in the shop because a retarded trucker drove into me. I kind of liked it. It had a lawn mower engine but it was fun to actually have to floor it to move at all. And the gas mileage was incredible. It's a shame they don't make them anymore but they were way too close to $20k new.

Mirage owner here, were you renting the hatchback or sedan? I got the sedan because the hatch just felt way too tiny on the road next to all the fag trucks around, but I sort of regret it as the seats in the sedan don't fold down so you're limited on cargo configurations.
Anyway, about that lawn mower engine, it's absolute ass because it's so low-power but once you accept that you really aren't going anywhere too fast and that you'll reach the speed limit... Eventually... It's a blast to drive. One of the only modernish cars that I feel like the wheel is actually connected to something, the gas and brake pedals aren't mushy electronic shit, the trunk opens on a lever, kino orange interior lighting and if it's a facelift model it even has modern infotainment.
I wish only I didn't have to buy mine used and accept black because I've seen the pearly white ones around and they look like pure sex. Also the paint is mega cheap, like the roof on mine started getting flakes after using a carwash, apparently they sold "premium" ceramic coating paint as an option.

Still dunno what you're talking about on the price, brand new in 2023 when I bought mine, just before the discontinuation in the US was announced, they were selling fully optioned out sedans in the Rallyart trim for $16k, maybe $2000 less for the hatch. Even before the cancellation dealerships were sat on a ton of stock that they were discounting heavily to move, I simply couldn't get financing from the dealership and had to go to an auto mall. By the very end, they had been slashed so much you could get them for $12k. Perspective: I'm paying $13k for my 2022 that had less than 10k miles.

Based on appearance alone, they do not look reliable, and no one wants a car that think will break down in less than a year

As far as its real function, its a car, yes, a car meant to be driven in a small town. Not reliable for long distance, rugged terrain, snow, etc

Nta. I mentioned in the other thread OP posted: I liked my Geo Tracker. It was a tiny tank that some enjoyed off roading in (I didn't.) The real issue they were discontinued was due to safety. Here in the US, a vehicle has to go through safety testing thst became law after these and it's spinoffs like clones like the Suzuki Samurai. It didn't pass, thus, discontinued. They're easy to tip over even if you go around a curve slightly too fast. And the parts were easy to rust and break. Even the Suzuki Jimny, a somewhat successor to it, suffers the same issue. If I continued to use mine, I would have needed to get an R title. It was not worth it.
