Why must every non-political reddit sub have politics in it? And why do these knuckle dragging drooling retards always upvote them as if they are doing something good?

It was a lot worse a year ago, it gave me politics fatigue back then and I'm way "into politics" so that's kind of shocking.
politics used to be a somewhat niche thing that the average person was mostly indifferent to. usually it was rare for people to be super absorbed into politics. now it seems like everyone is obsessed with politics and always ready to turn anything into a political argument. people pick a side and they're ready to fight for their party no matter what. everything their side does is good, and anything the other side does is evil. no exceptions. i miss when politics was just a boring side topic. now it is a focal point in everything and it can't be escaped.
