Anons, am I misunderstanding the situation with consoles in 2026? I was looking at buying a PS5(ruled out xbox due to price) to play pic related on but shit just aint right my niggas. I was looking at gameplay footage from other games and it honestly be looking crappy even on the PS5 Pro. I used to game on a 1060 with a 1080p monitor and it looked way better on AAA releases and everything else too.I guess I would be playing on my big 4k TV, but if it looks like poop, that's just more poop to try to ignore. I can't justify it my niggas, I'm just going to have to wait for GTA6 on PC.It don't make no sense even if you don't have a PC. The PS5 Pro is $900. If you went with hardware from the previous generation, you could build a much better PC for your money.

You can get a ryzen 7 5700 with a decent cooler, 16gb of fast ram, a 2tb ssd, rx 9060 xt, 750w 80+ gold psu and a basic case with some fans. I think the extra hundred is worth it because you can actually use your computer as a computer and it won't be made useless in 10 years. For $1400 you can put together a properly overclocked 5700x + rx 7800 xt build with 32gb of ram, which murders it. I might honestly buy all this shit while it's in my cart before prices get even worse.

You can make the combo even cheaper by switching the ram to a basic, non-rgb option(they will likely initially offer an rgb option). This is how I got the parts for my mini itx build. Storage was still brutal, but the GPU deals you can get will soften the hit.

>>85454114It's outdated hardware during a time when optimization is generally quite poor and rushed, graphics pipelines are inefficient and often proprietary to a degree, and everything costs too much. A PC that can run it well once a PC release is out is going to cost quite a bit more nowadays, but even if it didn't, it wouldn't be running crazy well. In the end, if you think about it objectively, it's just gonna be a poorly-performing game in a time when you can still play plenty of games on the same hardware you mentioned already owning. My gpu I bought last year was $1200. The ps4 pro is good value but gta 6 barely hits 30fps on it. I doubt it's even playable on a low end gpu

I went back to HDDs. I only need 2 SSDs, one for the OS and one for actual current projects. Everything else should be and will be instantly forwarded to my HDD. These HDDs last fucking forever, I've had my old one for over 10 years and the newer ones are even more durable.I also never went past 2k monitor so there was never a reason to haul everything up to a 4k standard. It's a 1080p setup that can run a 2k monitor because I'm smart and know how to use game and hardware settings.
