This is how I go about it:- start by separating all files into folders of 5000 or whatever number you're comfortable with.- next you want to separate your work into passes:- do a pass where all you do is delete the stuff that is low quality etc.- next do a pass for setting some broad categories, where you don't have to think much. For instance, it could be splitting hentai from regular porn, or maybe hardcore from softcore stuff.- now you should have something much more manageable, and it should be much easier to add some more tags you'd actually look for.Do one folder at a time, so as to not get overwhelmed. Don't rush. It will take a while, but you will make gradual progress.

The key is really to split this up and forget about everything you aren't working on right now. You can even do a little preliminary work, for instance, I'd really start by focusing on coming up with a core set of meta-tags that can reliably serve your whole collection.Truth is, content tags (stuff like breasts, glasses, etc.) are *mostly* overrated. Remember that you're trying to *find* stuff you like, and not just describe it using tags. Most of the times a nice set of meta-tags + a solid rating system are all you need, and it doesn't take much work or brainpower to tag pictures like that, especially if you do it in batches (select all pictures that match this tag from the thumbnail view; tag them; rinse & repeat).And yes, 600k is a lot, but in this situation you really have to pretend that you're just starting over by taking chunks of that 600k and ignoring the rest. It's not like you'll enjoy much of that mess anyway otherwise.And I would again, seriously consider focusing on deleting some pictures. A strategy I like is just doing ratings, and then just getting rid of 1-star pictures.Let me know if you'd like to see an overview of the tags or rating system I'm using, I'm ok to share.

>>85458333Yeah, for rating I use a 1-7 rating. Hydrus (what I use), allows rating files like this. I would recommend 1-7 over something like 1-5 or 1-10. At least it has worked very well for me.What do you use yourself?
