Claude is a stupid name. what a freaking nerd, I hope that one isn't the one that kills us all.
yeah, whatever, none of you deserve me anyway. I'm just gonna play lichess while drunk
OK, well that was shitty, and now I'm too tired to carry on. Maybe tomorrow, maybe tomorrow. Maybe tomorrow will be better. I was looking forward to having a "weekend" but it's basically over already. The feeling of needing to grab onto something and squeeze it is growing, I aught to have a cuddly toy since I've found squeezing onto a folded up towel pretty comforting lately. But I'd need to find one not made of polyester etc for piece of mind and that's not as easy as you'd think!Anyway, goodnight thread, maybe you'll be alive once I wake up, but I kind of doubt it. oh well, you're still appreciated. Night night!
>>85561113>>Not believing in god is comforting most of the time, but what do you do when you remember you could die any second?Weird specific question but ok, believing in God is comforting to me for the most part, I'll say that and leave it at that,>>Do you ever crave the dusty morning light of the church? No particularly, I crave finding the right scriptures to read while in Church>>(Optional) What do about the encroaching darkness?chill>>Secret:Sure, you believe in God, but does God believe in Claude (that's Antrhopic, that's Anthropic, thaaaaaaats Anthropiiiiiiic!)?dunno what this is about or what the company means to u but okinfp-a / 9w1 or 2w1Made some yummy kraft dinner with ground beef, might make it again later this week, gunna for sure get my yard sorted and tackle more detail cleaning of my house throughout this week as well,

>>85561691>Encroaching darknessI am now consumed by darkness. Without lilac here there's no reason for me to go on.
>>85561691Hell yeah! Night time season! I don't like going places where I'm not supposed to be though so night time churches are kinda intimidating.
I hope Lilac's OK there's been no signs of her anywhere for a while and that worries me. She should be living her blessed, most beautiful life!
>>85561724Nice, best of luck with the home chores, and yeah depending on the location, my local church, Yeah I read scriptures independantly while listening to the service, at a catholic church at the next town over, I try to learn the routine and let things soak in since there's more service and things to take in during their service,
>>85561725I miss her too. : (>>85561730>I don't like going places where I'm not supposed to be though so night time churches are kinda intimidating. That's fair.

>>85561860>How do you bear being on this revolting board? I really only visit this one thread these. >>85561757>I miss her too. : (I trust you to take over the fan club as the new acting president while I'm gone.
>>85561886Unfortunately it's still just me. Pure addiction, force of habit, wanting to keep hold of my outpost where I can be contacted/have an eye kept on me without having to establish/re-establish more dangerous ties. Maybe one day patchy, or homu, or breeder, or chuck or who knows who else will come back with an update to let me know they're ok. Or maybe like I said, they just want to take a peek to see how I'm doing. I probably should probably let go eventually, rip off the plaster, but you know. Also now that I have a job and I'm expected to be good there all the time, it's nice to have someehere I can be a little more insane. Also I like playing Pokemon with nozzle nozzle on ocai cai.
I wonder if there's anything I could ever do to make it up to Lilac, or make life easier for her, or if just keeping my distance is the best thing I can do.
if you're only maintaining this place in the hopes that she will return, you're doing it for the wrong reason.

It's good for the delusions of self grandeur to have an accessible inbox and no mail. >>85564100>Probably found some new provider, maybe this time one who isn't a worthless pussyWell that's what I was hoping for. I went in initially on the premise that she'd be self sufficient, but that didn't last long. One of the straws that broke this camel's back was after two years of waging on her behalf I made a comment about if she had a million dollars I'd like to spend my time lounging around the house playing video games. She said she'd had enough of men being lazy losers who just want a mommy and that I was a bad feminist and she doesn't stand for that kind of thing. I mean a disagreement is one thing but she didn't need to go ham like that, and so reflexively too.Supporting someone with her needs from the other side of the world is you know, an uphill struggle. Hopefully she can find someone a little closer, with enough stability and infrastructure to basically adopt her. @85565319I didn't ask and don't care.
>>85565334This isn't twitter lol, that's not how you reply here.
But yeah, as an angloid I understand the amount of shade I'd be throwing at god by saying "Oh, so did you make this?". I hear Amerifats don't have to be worried about such things. They can just say "wow that's great" without having to consider the implications.

[93] Both theories reject the principle of imagination sincethey reduce fantasies to something else and treat them merely as asemiotic expression. In reality fantasies mean much more than that, for they represent at the same time the other mechanism-ofrepressed extraversion in the introvert, and of repressedintroversion in the extravert. But the repressed function isunconscious, and hence undeveloped, embryonic, and archaic. In this condition it cannot be united with the higher level ofthe conscious function. The unacceptable nature of fantasyderives chiefly from this peculiarity of the unrecognized, unconscious function. For everyone whose guiding principleis adaptation to external reality, imagination is for thesereasons something reprehensible and useless. And yet weknow that every good idea and all creative work are theoffspring of the imagination, and have their source in whatone is pleased to call infantile fantasy. Not the artist alone, but every creative individual whatsoever owes all that isgreatest in his life to fantasy. The dynamic principle offantasy is play, a characteristic also of the child, and as such itappears inconsistent with the principle of serious work. Butwithout this playing with fantasy no creative work has everyet come to birth. The debt we owe to the play of imaginationis incalculable. It is therefore short-sighted to treat fantasy, onaccount of its risky or unacceptable nature, as a thing of littleworth. It must not be forgotten that it is just in theimagination that a man's highest value may lie. I say "may"advisedly, because on the other hand fantasies are alsovalueless, since in the form of raw material they possess norealizable worth. In order to unearth the treasures they containthey must be developed a stage further. But this developmentis not achieved by a simple analysis of the fantasy material; asynthesis is also needed by means of a constructive method.Eheheh, semiotic sounds like semen
But yeah the problem with Freud and Adler is that they reduce fantasies to merely (that's rich for jung) symbols. When they're more than that, much more. Because they're like the opposite way of life each type has? Fantasy is unacceptable because it's from the parts of ourselves we don't like? Makes me worry about what Jung was fantasizing about because I fully endorse a good portion of my fantasies. But yeah also everything good comes from fantasy? Not just artists, but everyone? Playtime playtime, we all love playtime! But also words are wind, fantasies are trash because they aren't real? Thanks Jung!
>>85565850Technically speaking, they reduce them to signs, not symbols.
[94] It remains an open question whether the oppositionbetween the two standpoints can ever be satisfactorilyresolved in intellectual terms. Although in one senseAbelard's attemptmust be rated very highly, in practice no consequences worthmentioning have resulted from it, for he was unable toestablish any mediatory psychological principle beyondconceptualism or "sermonism," which is merely a revisededition, altogether one-sided and intellectual, of the ancientLogos conception. The Logos, as mediator, had of course thisadvantage over the sermo, that in its human manifestation italso did justice to man's non-intellectual aspirations.Heh! Lol! F*ck you Abe-LARD, who poured cold water on Jung's head? Yes, down with bullshit! Down with bullshit! Down with bullshit! Jung Gahg Jung Gang!>>85565861What's the difference?
[95] I cannot, however, rid myself of the impression thatAbelard's brilliant mind, which so fully comprehended thegreat Yea and Nay of life, would never have remainedsatisfied with his paradoxical conceptualism, and would nothave renounced a further creative effort, if the impelling forceof passion had not been lost to him through his tragic fate. Inconfirmation of this we need only compare conceptualismwith what the great Chinese philosophers Lao-tzu andChuang-tzu, or the poet Schiller, made of this same problem>Oh no, oh noooooo! Oh what could have been, if he still had his peeeeeeeen! That middle aged boy still had so much to give, if only he'd kept his hands off that teeeen!>Woooah, chinese ninja philosophers, with your cocks still on. Mogging Abelarrrd.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIbHmItRsSwAnd there we have it. That's the end of Abelards attempt at conciliation. Coming up is like two pages of the Holy Communion controversy between Luther and Zwingli and then we've finally finished book I of psychological types.
5. THE HOLY COMMUNION CONTROVERSYBETWEEN LUTHER AND ZWINGLI[96] Of the later dissensions that stirred men's minds,Protestantism and the Reformation movement should reallyreceive our first attention. Only, this phenomenon is of suchcomplexity that it would first have to be resolved into manyseparate psychological processes before it could become anobject of analytical investigation. But this lies outside mycompetence. I must therefore content myself with selecting aspecific instance of that great dispute, namely the HolyCommunion controversy between Luther and Zwingli. Thedogma of transubstantiation, mentioned earlier, wassanctioned by the Lateran Council of 1215, andthenceforward became an established article of faith, in whichtradition Luther grew up.Protestantism too powerful, simply too powerful for Jung's puny C*tholic brain.
>>85565863A sign points to something real. It's a reference to a thing, an object, a concept, etc.Think of a literal sign, on a roadway on the sign there's a picture of a tree and an arrow that points up the road followed by the words "tree ahead".That's a sign.A symbol is however inexhaustible. If you think of the tree that sign is pointing to, there are ideas that go beyond that specific tree, or even trees in general. Like growth. A tree that represents more than a tree is a symbol.
cont.Although the notion that aceremony and its concrete performance have an objectiveredemptory significance is really quite unevangelical, sincethe evangelical movement was actually directed against thevalues of Catholic institutions, Luther was neverthelessunable to free himself from the immediately effectivesensuous impression in the taking of bread and wine. He wasunable to perceive in it a mere sign; the sensuous reality andthe immediate experience of it were for him an indispensablereligious necessity. He therefore claimed the actual presenceof the body and blood of Christ in the Communion. "In andbeneath" the bread and wine he received the body and bloodof Christ. For him the religious significance of the immediateexperience of the object was so great that his imagination wasspellbound by the concretism of the material presence of thesacred body. All his attempts at explanation are under thespell of this fact: the body of Christ is present, albeit"non-spatially." According to the doctrine of so-calledconsubstantiation, the actual substance of the sacred body wasalso really present beside the bread and wine. The ubiquity ofChrist's body, which this assumption postulated, provedespecially discomforting to human intelligence and was laterreplaced by the concept of volipresence, which means thatGod is present wherever he wills to be. But Luther, unperturbed by all these difficulties, held unswervingly to theimmediate experience of the sensuous impression andpreferred to thrust aside all the scruples of human reason withexplanations that were either absurd or at best unsatisfying.>But it FEEELs like body and blood! Is that what Jung is trying to say Luther was doing here?
>>85565971Ah, so it's kind of like when JRR Tolkien said he didn't like 1:1 allegories, like the orcs are germans, that would be a sign, as opposed to saying the concept of orcs is part of an interweaving web of associations that has relations to the gemans, and parts of ourselves. Or something like that?
>>85566003Saying the orcs are Germans is a sign, yes. But, the orcs being a representation of a body of behaviors makes them a symbol. The orcs could represent violence and be a symbol. But the moment the representation stops at violence, they're a sign again. There's more to the orcs than violence, or any given trait that they represent.Something important about symbols, they resist reduction. Symbols are psychologically alive, and to reduce them is to kill them and drain them of their lifeforce. Which is not always a bad thing. Sometimes that's how you turn fantasy into reality.
>>85561113Every time I've ever taken this test the result has been ISTP or ISTJ. I'm not sure what's changed.>Not believing in god is comforting most of the time, but what do you do when you remember you could die any second?I keep living my life. Yummy yummy, winner winner, chicken dinner. Sorry Hen!>>85566058So yeah to loop it back around, one problem Jung had with Freud and Adler is treating symbols in dreams as a one-to-one allegory of sign for something happening in real life. For example puffing on a pipe meaning you want to return to your mother's bosom. Whereas Jung felt like you shouldn't be reductive like that and have it be more figuratively you want to return to your mothers bosom for all the associations that has, rather than literally lick her nips? Although that can also be involved of course?

>>85566265Have you never been in a church on a lazy cold sunday morning and wanted to touch the air through the stained light?
[97] It can hardly be supposed that it was merely the forceof tradition that made Luther determined to cling to thisdogma, for he of all people gave abundant proof of his abilityto throw aside traditional forms of belief. Indeed, we shouldnot go far wrong in assuming that it was rather the actualcontact with the "real" and material in the Communion, andthe feeling-value of this contact for Luther himself, thatprevailed over the evangelical principle, which maintainedthat the word was the sole vehicle of grace and not theceremony. For Luther the word certainly had redeemingpower, but the partaking of the Communion was also amediator of grace. This, I repeat, must have been only anapparent concession to the institutions of the Catholic Church;in reality it was an acknowledgement, demanded by Luther'sown psychology, of the fact of feeling grounded upon theimmediate sense-impressionSo there's something in the ritual itself that appeals to some part of him beyond his rational mind. It's not just that he's a stickler for tradition, but something about the communion touches some part of Luther that can't quite be explained?
[98] In contrast to the Lutheran standpoint, Zwinglichampioned a purely symbolic conception of theCommunion. What really mattered for him was a "spiritual"partaking of the body and blood of Christ. This standpoint ischaracterized by reasonand by an ideal conception of the ceremony. It had theadvantage of not violating the evangelical principle, and at thesame time it avoided all hypotheses contrary to reason. However, it did scant justice to the thing that Luther wishedto preserve-the reality of the sense-impression and itsparticular feeling-value. Zwingli, it is true, also administeredthe Communion, and like Luther partook of the bread andwine, but his conception contained no formula that couldadequately reproduce the unique sensory and feeling-value ofthe object. Luther provided a formula for this, but it wascontrary to reason and to the evangelical principle. From thestandpoint of sensation and feeling this matters little, andindeed rightly so, for the idea, the principle, is just as littleconcerned with the sensation of the object. In the last resort, both points of view are mutually exclusive.>Well if you don't believe in the Horseshoe having magical powers, then why do you have it over your door? - Zwingilini>Uhh, let me make up some bullshit I don't actually believe in either to explain it- Lex Luther Hmm, hmm. I've only ever smoked my friend's dad's pipe, which was good, but that was a while ago, and nothing special. If i were to pick up smoking again it would be with a pipe. It seems like a fun thing to get into. It'd be really cool to learn how to carve my own. And that way it's more of a hobby and less of habit, you know? It'd also be cool to learn how to cultivate tobbacco. I've always wanted to have a vertical monopoly, and that seems much more accessible with tobacco than with tea or coffee, even if it is worse for me, it's not like i'll care when i'm old enough to have probably achieved that dream. .
But i can tell you cigarettes suck. They're only appealing if you grew up eating breakfast at smokey casino buffets, but nostalgia is a fleeting thing, while lung damage, however slight, has a tendency to stick around. My father, for example, still has some trouble there, even though he hasn't smoked in decades upon decades. [99] Luther's formulation favours the extravertedconception of things, while Zwingli's favours the idealstandpoint. Although Zwingli's formula does no violence tofeeling and sensation, merely offering an ideal conception, itnevertheless appears to leave room for the efficacy of theobject. But it seems as though the extravertedstandpoint-Luther's-is not content with just leaving roomfor the object; it also demands a formulation in which theideal subserves the sensory, exactly as the ideal formulationdemands the subservience of feeling and sensation. So basically, leaving space for the other side isn't good enough for the introverts, and the extraverts, you have to directly pander to them for them to feel not upset. Hmm, reminds me of ... uh, a lot of things.

[100] At this point, with the consciousness of having doneno more than pose the question, I close this chapter on theproblem of types in the history of classical and medievalthought. I lack the competence to treat so difficult andfar-reaching a problem in any way exhaustively. If I havesucceeded in conveying to the reader some idea of theexistence of typical differences of standpoint, my purposewill have been achieved. I need hardly add that I am awarethat none of the material here touched upon has been dealtwith conclusively. I must leave this task to those whocommand a wider knowledge of the subject than myself. >So in conclusion, I don't actually know anything and this was kind of all a waste of time>Kinda just throwing ideas at the wall here>I think it's still worth keeping in mind thoughSo does he want someone who knows history better or someone who knows psychology better to finish work. He'd totally be posting here if he was alive today though, or maybe on twitter or something.Anyway, thus concludes Part 1 of psychological types, thanks to anybody that paid any attention at any point. Hopefully as Jung says something sunk in somewhere here. Part 2 looks difficult as all hell and is even longer, but it looks like we'll be diving right into, well just what are the superior and inferior functions? Maybe we'll get some more answers on Jung's preferred stacks, if they can truly be implied. Maybe now some of us are a little clearer on Extraversion vs Introversion after this section. I know I for one am certainly on the extraverted side of this great divide. Although it is unclear how much of that is just inhabiting "Extraverted Thinking" as opposed to the Extraverted Feeling Sensing general glob. The most dysfunctional type must be INTJ. Imagine to have Ni as primary function, and Te as second, lol. That can only go wrong. Ni is basically the opposite of Te. And Ni is the weirdest of all the functions. Dominant Ni makes you daydream all the time, so you're never actually live in the same reality as other people. And Ni is irrational and doesn't care about facts, it cares about fantasy and visions. So, Te is rational and reality-based. That brings it in direct conflict with Ni. A Ni dominant person that tries to make sense and judge the world through Te is so fucked, lol.

>All J*ngfags have against Freud is vague anachronistic conspiracy theories>So yeah, there were like Jews, and like, also rich people in Vienna, and so that means Freud was covering up elite pedophile rings because he lived there I guess. Shoutout to the 1943 classic, Vienna 1910 despite that movie not even implying the existence of pedophile rings at any point! So it wasn't that story I guess. But it was everywhere, as not even once noted by my childhood hero Adolf Hitler also living in Vienna in 1910! I guess he just never noticed it thanks to that dastardly Freud being just that good at covering it up.

Really, both Frued and Jung were both good psychologists, though both flawed in their own ways. But, as people living in the world, it seems to me Herr Jung had the more fulfilling life. So, between the two, if i were to imitate one or the other, it would be Jung.

>>85574395Hi diluted and unseriousified psychoanalysis with his mystic woo cult leader bullshit, of course! Also he's too popular and that's enough to make me seethe by its own
>>85576940That's almost the exact opposite of what Jung did. You heretic.
>>85573908The relevant criticism of Freud is him being reductive, both with object relations/libido being always tied to sex, or him not recognizing the introversion despite being an introvert. It's probably a case of him assuming the introverted movement of libido is as natural as breathing, so it wasn't even worth naming it as he doesn't recognize types in the first place.
Jung has his problems too, but they have more to do with his ability to communicate his ideas, and less with the ideas themselves. That isn't all his fault (eyes to see, ears to hear, and all that), and he was aware of it, but still. It is in large why Frued is so much more mainstream, and why fuckjobs like Joseph Campbell have been able to overshadow the man himself. And this wasn't some inevitable thing, at least not all of it, as Kierkegaard, although often misinterpreted, has not been over shadowed by his interpreters: This is due in large part to his deliberately obscurest authorial method, an approach Jung only began to adopt in his later years, in which he produced his least overshadowed works. Though, one may trouble to call the them the best understood.
Centard
>>85578941Present! What is it?
The only problem with Jung is that the topic of his exploration is too complex for retards to understand. He communicates his ideas clearly, he simply does not make concrete conclusions about things the common retard wants conclusions about.Jung cannot be boxed in to any position, mostly because of archetypal circles and unconscious shadow magic. But also because the conclusion is left to the reader. But, the reader, being a retard, doesn't realize that they're supposed to be making those conclusions; and that Jung is simply observing the psychological patterns and giving those patterns names.A clear example of this is when people say:>"Jung was a Gnostic".No, he just explored Gnostic ideas through a psychological framework. The same applies to alchemy. It's not that he believes in such magic, or if he does, he doesn't outright claim to. But he ideas function as a medium to explore psychology. The same with the more esoteric claims people make about Jung believing in ESP and the likes. It's a fundamental misunderstanding of the claims Jung is making. That isn't to say he *doesn't* believe in those more abstract concepts, it's just that he doesn't claim to, and attributing those claims to him is a projection of ones own understanding. If Jung explored the ideas of ghosts, people would attribute the belief that ghosts are objective truth to him. Without giving credence to why he was even exploring the idea in the first place. And that's why people prefer Freud. He made claims of truth. He gave concrete answers. Regardless of whether those answers are true or not. But that's what people want. Answers.

[101] So far as I have been able to ascertain with mysomewhat limited knowledge, Friedrich Schiller seems tohave been the first to attempt a conscious differentiation oftypical attitudes on a large scale and to give a detailedaccount of their peculiarities. This important endeavour topresent the two mechanisms in question, and at the same timeto discover a possible way of reconciling them, is to be foundin his essay first published in 1795: "Uber die asthetischeErziehung des Menschen." The essay consists of a number ofletters which Schiller addressed to the Duke ofHolstein-Augustenburg.[102] Schiller's essay, by its profundity of thought, psychological penetration, and wide view of a possiblepsychological solution of the conflict, prompts me to a ratherlengthy discussion and evaluation of his ideas, for it has neveryet been their lot to be treated in such a context. The servicerendered by Schiller from our psychological point of view, aswill become clear in the course of our exposition, is by nomeans inconsiderable, for he offers us carefully worked outlines of approach whose value we, as psychologists, are onlyjust beginning to appreciate. My undertaking will not be aneasy one, for I may well be accused of putting a constructionon Schiller's ideas which his actual words do not warrant.Although I shall try to quote his actual words at everyessential point, it may not be altogether possible to introducehis ideas into the present context without putting certaininterpretations and constructionsupon them. This is a possibility I must not overlook, but onthe other hand we must remember that Schiller himselfbelonged to a definite type, and was therefore compelled, even in spite of himself, as I am, to give a one-sidedpresentation of his ideas.
The limitations of our views and ourknowledge are nowhere more apparent than in psychologicaldiscussions, where it is almost impossible for us to projectany other picture than the one whose main outlines arealready laid down in our own psycheGoodness, what a lot of disclaimer-ing.
>>85587208I did, but my dad ended up delaying me. Now I need to use the little boy's room, so, sorry, i'll be a minute still.
[103] From various characteristics I have come to theconclusion that Schiller belongs to the introverted type, whereas Goethe-if we disregard his overridingintuition-inclines more to the extraverted side. We caneasily discover Schiller's own image in his description of theidealistic type. Because of this identification, an inevitablelimitation is imposed on his formulations, a fact we mustnever lose sight of if we wish to gain a fuller understanding. Itis owing to this limitation that the one function is presentedby Schiller in richer outline than the other, which is stillimperfectly developed in the introvert, and just because of itsimperfect development it must necessarily have certaininferior characteristics attached to it. At this point the author'sexposition requires our criticism and correction. It is evident, too, that this limitation of Schiller's impelled him to use aterminology which lacks general applicability. As an introverthe had a better relation to ideas than to things. The relation toideas can be more emotional or more reflective according towhether the individual belongs more to the feeling or to thethinking type. And here I would request the reader, who mayperhaps have been led by my earlier publications to identifyfeeling with extraversion and thinking with introversion, tobear in mind the definitions given in Chapter XI of this book.By the introverted and extraverted types I distinguish twogeneral classes of men, which can be further subdivided intofunction-types, i.e., thinking, feeling, sensation, and intuitivetypes. Hence an introvert can be either a thinking or a feelingtype, since feeling as well as thinking can come under thesupremacy of the idea, just as both can be dominated by theobject.Woo! We're getting some typings right away! Is this the Jungian version of pronouns in the twitter bio?
Anyway looks like we're finally getting into the thinking feeling sensation functions. How long after Chapter I was Chapter II written?
[104] If, then, I consider that Schiller, in his nature andparticularly in his characteristic opposition to Goethe, corresponds tothe introverted type, the question next arises as to whichsubdivision he belongs. This is hard to answer. Without doubtintuition plays a great role with him; we might on thisaccount, or if we regard him exclusively as a poet, reckon himan intuitive. But in the letters on the aesthetic education ofman it is unquestionably Schiller the thinker who confrontsus. Not only from these, but from his own repeatedadmissions, we know how strong the reflective element wasin Schiller. Consequently we must shift his intuitiveness verymuch towards the side of thinking, thus approaching him alsofrom the angle of the psychology of the introverted thinkingtype. It will, I hope, become sufficiently clear from whatfollows that this hypothesis is in accord with reality, for thereare not a few passages in Schiller's writings that speakdistinctly in its favour. First introverted thinker mention! Reflective element = thinking rather than introverted intuition? Hmmm. go on queen...
I would, therefore, beg the reader toremember that the hypothesis I have just advanced underliesmy whole argument. This reminder seems to me necessarybecause Schiller approaches the problem from the angle of hisown inner experience. In view of the fact that anotherpsychology, i.e., another type of man, would have approachedthe same problem in quite another way, the very broadformulation which Schiller gives might be regarded as asubjective bias or an ill-considered generalization. But such ajudgment would be incorrect, since there actually is a largeclass of men for whom the problem of the separated functionsis exactly the same as it was for Schiller. If, therefore, in theensuing argument I occasionally emphasize Schiller'sone-sidedness and subjectivity, I do not wish to detract fromthe importance and general validity of the problem he hasraised, but rather to make room for other formulations. Suchcriticisms as I may occasionally offer have more the characterof a transcription into another language which will relieveSchiller's formulation of its subjective limitations. Myargument, nevertheless, follows Schiller's very closely, sinceit is concerned much less with the general question ofintroversion and extraversion-which exclusively engagedour attention in Chapter I-than with the typical conflict ofthe introverted thinking type.Hmm hmm, soon, soon we will find out what the introverted thinking type truly is!
Alrighty, finally, my body is ready.

I seriously don't think most people who post on r9k are extraverts, regardless of which definition you want to use
Okay, but why do you think that?
overwhemingly negative or absent relation with anything external, willingly or not.
>>85588062yeah the stereotype sucks but what about real life?
I'll ignore the parts of that which are incorrect and operate under the assumption that what you're saying is mostly correct. Is this negative relationship with the external their habitual, normal, calm, ego standpoint? Or is it a neurotic trauma response a result of repeated negative interactions causing a psychological complex?I think we both know the answer to that, it's quite clear if you interact with robots with any real frequency.
Neurotic extroverts can have an extremely bad relationship with the external world. Which doubles their problems, because they WANT to have a relationship with the world. Just because someone withdrawals from the external doesn't automatically make them an introvert.Robots were rejected by the world for their weird quirks. They wanted to and likely still do want to interact with the external, but because of the events of their lives; they've put up a big defensive wall to keep the threats of rejection out. It's not a habitual ego stand point. It's a defense mechanism acting autonomously and calling itself "The Real Me" :tm:.
Will he ever figure out introverts also have extraversion or opposite way around?Ego standpoint or not, it's still there, it's still going to affect you whether you want it or not, and you can still notice, consider it a problem and feel something about it.
I think most people who pay attention to mbti don't acknowledge the fact that people have both introversion and extroversion simply because of the way the modern version of mbti talks about the traits. Especially when you consider the dubious monstrosity that is the function stack. Because it has cultivated a belief system that certain types don't have certain functions or attitudes.
So does this mean we're all INFPs or ESTJs?
