How do people remember stuff like tv show and books they consumed as children? I can barely remember media from 6 months ago.
Big difference in what you consume as a child and gets imprinted and what you mindlessly consume for hours every day. Also, we rarely remember everything, our brain has limited space.
>>85563028Apparently the imprinting didn't work for me because I can't remember shit.
>>85563025my brother just reminded me of a mobile game we used to play as kids and i had completely forgotten about it. i don't know how he pulled that out from so deep in memory
>>85563046>>85563046I guess you are depressed or stupid then.
>>85563025yeah i also stopped remembering anything i watch or read after i became severly depressed
>>85563569its crazy that my friends seem to be able to effortlessly bring up individual scenes and moments from anime that we've watched together while i can barely even remember the plot
You do remember, but it tends to lie beneath the surface unless something "jogs" your memory. The clearest example of this in my life was when, back in April 2020, I was watching a press conference where President Trump was talking about going outside in the sun to fight the chinese virus, and the way he phrased it suddenly evoked a memory of something I haven't heard in 20 years: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ya4yyg9XiI4
