i didnt go to school today because i was sick, but i still feel guilty about it.
>i've been sick all week.
>thought i was getting better but i still have a really bad fever and cough.
>also have trouble going outside because of social anxiety
>get ready in the morning, it becomes time to leave
>went to the door and got so nauseous
>thought I was going to throw up
>ended up not going
>feel the danger of falling into hikikomori again if i dont go outside more
>still really sick though

School? How young are you?

i'm old i'm going to adult school
>>
Have some chamomile and take the day to recover. Go for a walk later. Expose yourself a little on your own time, so you won't have a full breakdown when you have to leave.
What are you learning in adult school, how to be an adult?
>>

take a day off to recover maybe go to the hospital emergency and see if there is anything wrong with you

I also skipped school but for me, I'm a coward. I attend a trade school and I'm afraid because once I leave and graduate, I'm too afraid that I can't actually fabricate anything correctly. I decently but not good enough for a job.

Okay

Ive been trying to do this but last time I went outside someone laughed at me to my face and it made things even worse.
>What are you learning in adult school, how to be an adult?
Kind of. I'm studying to become a scientist, but I'm also not very good at taking care of myself or things. I'm intelligent so my parents wanted me to continue school, and the hope is that I'll get better at these things at the same time. I've been pretty overwhelmed though and getting sick at the start of the school year made it worse. I tried to make friends but everyone avoids me now so I'm going to end up alone again. I don't even feel confident that I'll be able to pass my studies.

there's nothing wrong with me. if there was, i shouldnt get it checked out because it might be cancer.
>>85563372
i get how you feel. in my field, it seems like some people have brilliance to the methodology itself while i'm just learning and replicating methods themselves, and struggling to remember them at that. People say that it's a common experience, but i also wonder if not making it isn't also a common experience.

>Ive been trying to do this but
It's very important though. It helps your nervous system get out of this softlock. And I'll keep you company.
Don't overthink how the rest of the year is going to turn out. It just started. Things will look very different a month from now.

Holy shit, fellow soon to be welder? I did MIG, FCAW and felt happy. I learned puddle control and was able to read the puddle somewhat. Tungsten humbled me.

ive been forcing myself for a long time and i guess i'm just emotionally exhausted. i also moved to a city and i think it was much easier to deal with when i was living in the forest because i could hide in the trees and sneak past people when i heard them coming when i wasnt feeling well and went outside.

for better or worse

not a welder, but that does seem like a really hard job. especially when doing it right every time is so important. im studying to be a scientist though

I also moved from a small town to the city. Yes, it's overwhelming at first, but there is also a beauty in a crowd. The people become the trees. You just go for a walk or sit down at a bench and blend in.
Let me know how your day turns out.

> You just go for a walk or sit down at a bench and blend in.
i don't really blend in even though i wish i did. it seems like i stick out from others in a bad way
>>
>>85563474
How so? I used to feel the same way, but it was just my own anxiety.
>>
>>85563522
well, i sorta became overwhelmed because of stuff that happened this week. i was sitting next to someone on a crowded bus and they pulled the stop cord so they could get up and sit farther away from me. somebody laughed in my face at the grocery store. dogs bark at me when i walk past them on the road. i'm pretty certain that i am just a freak. i feel like a pariah in warhammer. the people in my personal life say that's not true but i think are telling me white lies to try to make me feel better.
>>
>>85563561
I don't think they are telling while lies. I think you are noticing and looking for things that confirm your very negative view of yourself.
The reality is probably a lot more bland and neutral.
It does explain why you have such a strong response when having to go out. But the solution is still the same.
>>
>>85563605
how much evidence would i need to confirm that the reality is as bad as i think it is? because i legitimately believed this stuff in the past and tried my best to go out there and hope for the best but all i've ever found is humiliation and social failure. can you even relate to that experience of being utterly humiliated? where one instance of humiliation doesn't even make you feel different becuase you've already been crushed into the dirt?
>>
>>85563642
I'm not saying your reality isn't as bad as you perceive it. I'm saying that your subjective experience cannot change without effort, it's just logically impossible.

>trying to redpill a miserable person that is miserable by choice (which they don't even know about desu)

Good luck. I'm just gonna sit back and read the cope that is inevitably coming.
>>
>>85563650
ive been trying for a long time. i'm disheartened. i apply a lot of effort and it seems like it doesn't change anything. i thought my social anxiety would go away if i forced myself to be social more for long enough, but it's just as bad.
