Because people act like I'm special because of it. Not liking mainstream things, and liking non-mainstream things, makes people show interest and sometimes even say you're different from other people. Normies literally tell me I'm un-normie for some arbitrary likes and dislikes I share.

The ultimate sign of a normie is interfacing with the world only through consumption. The idea that things you consume instead of your behaviors, the shape of your life and relationships is what makes you a normie is the most normie thing imaginable.
