Why is the system set up exactly in a way so the rich get richer and the poor get poorer?
I have a coworker. We're both around the same job but he was able to go to school and get a degree so he's an "engineer" while I'm just an operator. We do basically the same thing but he has a better job title so he gets more money. I don't know exactly how much he gets paid but from looking at Glassdoor and other jobs in the area with similar titles, I'm thinking he's getting 4-5x the amount of money I'm making.
And he's salary, so he gets to make his own hours, show up when he likes, leave when he likes. While I'm a fucking wagie have to show up at 5:55 each morning to clock in at 6AM sharp and clock out at 6PM with just two 30 minute breaks.
This fucker (and every other "engineer" and every other office fucker) can just take hour long lunch breaks whenever they feel like it.

But what really pissed me off. Was today this guy wasn't at work. I asked my supervisor where he was because I needed him to do something for me and my supervisor told me the dude had some water pipe break at home so he took the day off.
What in the fuck. When you're that sort of status you can just fucking "take the day off" to take care of the home you bought with the salary you make. Meanwhile lowly wagies like me have to use up PTO to request a day off two weeks in advance to MAYBE get it approved so I can get a fucking doctor appointment.

It's just not fucking fair. The haves get it all while the have nots have to suffer the gears grinding humanity into dust.
>>
Because it wasnt "we" who set up the system, but the ones that already had control of resources. And they kept amassing more.
Now a handful of people control more resources on our planet than billions.
It wont end well
>>
And don't tell me "comparison is the thief of joy." This guy can just at will call up in the morning and say he doesn't want to show up. What fucking bullshit is that. That people like me actually keep things fucking moving, operating the machines, doing the work. And pencil pushers like that dick get EXTRA time off because of the EXTRA bullshit they bought with their EXTRA income. They are making their own problems and rewarding themselves for it.
>>
>>85569322
Yeah, it's bullshit. All the higher-ups usually get those positions because of connections too. The whole "just work your way up the ladder" shit is a fucking meme when a supervisor can just promote their best friend who worked just long enough to pass the probationary period. I remember working my ass off all day with all the other wagies one time and got called into their office area by HR for something. They were literally all just sitting on their asses playing Solitaire or browsing Amazon on the work computers.

The rich set up the system.
The right lobby for more rules - for the rich.
And on it goes.
>Why wouldn't a ruler be fair?
Because not everyone would rule like you, OP.
The Royal family repeatedly referred to Princess Diana as a "non-starter" and Diana says it is because she has compassion for people, you know that maybe quality of living could be drastically improved for the masses if the ubernational wealthy paid a little more and a few other things.
picel
non-starter
The rich hate your guts and the rich make the rules. You can kill yourself if you'd like. Oh wait that's illegal too. Don't ever give up any amount of power you get, OP. Just because you're a benevolent ruler doesn't mean anyone you share your power with will be and, odds are they won't be.
>>
>>85569400
>The right lobby for more rules - for the rich.
I don't even agree with this left/right dichotomy. The rich do this on BOTH SIDES. Do you think Chelsea Clinton has labored a single day in her life? The leftists pretend to support the common man while pulling the exact same high level shit as the right wingers.
>>
>>85569554
>>85569400
And then you look at the labor unions, which are unapologetically left wing, and see they do the exact same things too. Members paying union dues so a few people at the top can answer emails from their 2nd home. And how exclusionary the unions are. Politics is just a method to enrich yourself, no matter which side you take.
>>
>>85569322
No one set it up this way. It's how money is always going to tend to flow under this type of economy. No one crafted it. It just turns out like this. And people in power want to perpetuate it cause they are aware it works well for them.
>>
>>85569331
This is a natural loop, but historically the "rebalance" was the poor going apeshit and killing everyone, though I think modern systems planned around that
>>
>>85569599
All system planned around that, and they all failed eventually
>>
>>85569603
this cycle is taking longer than expected
>>
>>85569613
After world war 2 there was a massive move of wealth and resources towards the masses. The correction that has been taken place since the late 70s has already had massive negative consequences. We are in stage 3 of 4. I'd give it 10-30 more years before The Realignment.

The rich set up the system

Right when I get old, fuck. Will they still issue me a revolutionary armband when it comes?

>look up who capped those deductions
>look up who chimped out over the removal of this richfag tax break loophole
>stop getting all your political takes from leddit

>SALT deduction
What the fuck I had my taxes done by HR Block this year for the very first time because I needed to itemize and my guy didn't even mention this.
This would have gotten me a few thousand extra I'm calling this faggot up they have a "lowest return guaranteed"

Largest rather....

>Why is the system set up exactly in a way so the rich get richer and the poor get poorer
Because the system is made by the rich and they want even more power? Duh.

This is why you need a french revolution once every century to remind the rich they're not special.
>>
>>85569322
>why is the system
The purpose of a system is what it does. People often accuse systems of being "broken", because there was a time when they were beneficiaries of it and aren't now, or said system has never worked for them. No system is ever broken, it is always functioning exactly as intended.

The better question is why don't you work toward a life that doesn't require much money? You complain about losing at this game but keep playing. You can keep trying to live the lavish modern lifestyle within the predatory system and be unhappy, or you can live a real, frugal, simple life as people have been doing through all of time and many still do around the world, yet be overjoyed and contented every day. Stop playing their game, because the house always wins.

I've been saying this for decades and I'll say it again. All we have to is just kill all the jews and things will even out.

Who will you blame then?

The problem with your type is that you'll ask and vote for Uber communism so that the people who are more beautiful and smarter than you become slaves just like you, what instead you should dream for is less fucking government commie scum

Any political system that elects leaders will always have this probably at best, and at worst it will just have complete and utter rampant corruption and tyranny.
This is why we need to move toward sortition based democracies, not one where we elect officials that will maybe throw us a bone to honor their whole constituency once in their career but for the rest are beholden to 1: lobbyists and 2: the richest of their constituents that give them money to campaign and don't make their life a living hell because they support them...
The problem is largely an economic one, one that can only be changed by legislating the so called "free hand" that supposedly trickles down to the poor away, when in reality it's just the best tool the rich have to amass more riches and impoverish everyone else. So long as politicians are beholden to these people (and they 100% are) there will be no change. So we need government to force the hand of the rich, but we need a government run by people untouched by the rich, which is why i think sortitions are the best option

But can anyone enter that lottery? And what if some moron gets picked? Can they be removed at the first sign of stupidity?
And regarding controlling the wealthy: if the major powers remain dominated by the rich, other nations won't be able to do a thing.
The United States, the European Union, Russia, China, Japan, they all must fall.

I had a thought recently about setting a maximum salary limit. Just setting the unenforceability of it aside for a moment. I heard the argument that it is actually bad because if a person reaches that they have no motivation to do more or better. But then as I work for a soulless corpo and I read about hiring practices... everyone is expected to be motivated to work just for sake of it. Growth. Personal improvement etc. People who earn pittance are supposed to pretend this is true and for some of them this is true actually. You can find satisfaction in work. And because it can be true then there you have it. Filthy rich people should have a cap on earnings and compensate with personal growth. Those shitbags are the people for which personal growth should apply and be motivation.

ignore the reddit outburst but:

THIS! THIS is exactly why people toil to get an education. It is the most probable way to live a decent life.

The difference in treatment between the two of you really does show a literal class divide though
