we called "creative accounting" in most circles

its just standard lingo which means everyone does it

basically its really hard to prove fraud vs mistakes or something so you can get away with cutting corners

Making a digital made up number go up. That's literally it. They sit at a computer all day to make a made up digital number go up. That's the modern human experience.

You forget that the digital number is connected to some kind of real world thing
So moving the digital number moves something in the real world

oh cool thanks for the reply

>basically its really hard to prove fraud vs mistakes or something so you can get away with cutting corners
I would also assume that its too much of an effort to go through all the paper work and stuff and you are better of just letting it happen

not necessarily

There's a great quote about it from Yes Minister talking about a hospital with no staff or patients being the optimal buerocratic state.

they're just sitting there for the picture

it's very trendy to show you're working by sitting in front of a computer screen. however there's obviously no real work that can be done there

Some office jobs are pretty important, like customer service, but a lot are retarded nothingburgers like box tickers
>>

Most of the time their collecting and collating data for upper management to make decisions

Like, gathering how many units sold last month, how many were produced, how many are left in stock, how many customers complained or returned what they bought, etc. And based on that information the executives can decide on where to sell, where no stop selling, how many more to make, and so on and so on

nothing OP, they look busy while we extract wealth from the 3rd world. it was a good scam we had going but Trump is doing his best to ruin it because he is a fucking idiot

I do about 2 hours of real work a day.
I've started using my free time at work to vibe code automation tools to get that down to 0 hours of work a day.

Not him but I usually fap when working from home

>down to 0 hours of work a day
>he doesn't have to interact with actual customers/users
I hate you. I can pretty much automatize everything, except user interactions. But I don't mind... job situation is truly horrendous out there, I'll take this type of job over no job at all.
