Women can be funny but most aren't.Also anecdotally male comedians tell jokes men and women find funny while female comedians tell jokes only women find funny.

Sometimes they get a novel joke out of it while doing that which can get a chuckle but usually not. Imagine a man who did comedy like that, like he opened up with a joke about how pocket pussies don't fit in your pocket and went from there. No one would like it but you're expected to clap like you would for Stalin for female comedians.

Sarah Sherman roasting Colin Jost is usually pretty funny. Jane Wickline has made me laugh with her songs on multiple occasions. I think a big problem is that most men and most women experience the same events differently, have different perspectives, and thus connect with one another less or in dissimilar ways. If you're watching a show like Family Guy and not laughing much but then they feature a skit that involves something you know and love like a specific movie or video game, there's a good chance you might laugh at that. Women referencing other women is going to be an uphill battle in attempting to connect with most guys. It's not that women aren't funny, we just aren't connecting well.

>>85573292I used to do amateur stand up comedy (I sucked at it, that's why I say "used to").At every open mic night, without fail, some guy does a whole set of painfully unfunny dick jokes. The more established comedians would always give advice to stay away from sexual humor because it's essentially a crutch to use shock value to mask that you're not actually that funny.
