I'd want one too. I've had fantasies about living off of the sea and sailing around with a sea lion or two. They'd sleep on the boat and play with me there and then they'd go out to hunt and feed themselves. I'd also go between floating planters for veggies and fish for meat.

That's why they're such a fun pet to think about. Galapagos sea lions are the most friendly of all of the sea lions from what I could find. The babies will just waddle up to tourists and the adults will come over and bug people to give them the bench they're sitting on.

Oh man that webm is a classic. Also those sea lion rescuing videos were always nice to watch. I guess that's also an option for a pet sea lion -- to live on the beach. There's plenty of beaches here where I live, but sea lions and seals aren't native here anymore so having some out and about would get me in trouble... Probably.

It does have photos of penguins being hunted/dead though, so maybe you won't like the video so much but the leopard seal stories are cute.
