im tired of living with no purpose. living with my parents and having no life outside of work. i want to run away from home and make creating art my whole existence
>>85575820No purpose? We'll assign you one! No, but really, that's kind of the downside of life and self-awareness in general: there is no heads-up display telling you what objectives need to be completed on a daily basis, and in what order. Idk what to tell you, but probably work on getting from under your parents first; those people can be psychic vampires.

>>85575820I'm in the same situation. I actually have a pretty good job, but circumstances of that job prevent me from living on my own due to the amount of time I spend away from home. Bit of a catch 22 I've found myself in. I'm stick living with my parents so I can work this job, but if I had a wife to live with I could afford to move out, but I'll never find one living the lifestyle that my job requires. I can either quit this job and find a normal job that pays a lot less and maybe live a normal life then (my costs of living would skyrocket), or continue working this job and be stuck in the loop of eternal manchildhood while stacking a huge nest egg. I've chosen the latter because it's too much money to leave on the table, but it's a tough choice and I have to confront when I plan to exit it. This job is really starting to wear me down, and if I get promoted then things will only get worse. All I do outside of work is draw. I wish I could make a living doing that, but it's not happening. I can't offer you any advice because I don't know what to do myself. Keep on making art whenever you have the time, I guess is all I know to do at this point. I think if I spent the rest of life doing that, I wouldn't completely regret it.
