I have seen numerous shorts on Chinese social media platforms where Chinese travelers in Mongolia complain about being treated coldly or assaulted by Mongolian locals, and then lash out at them. At the same time, they whine about not understanding why South Korea and Koreans are so liked in Mongolia. It seems Chinese labor under the delusion that their country enjoys the same better reputation as Asians abroad as South Korea or Japan.
