I've come to the realization that I don't truly belong in this world. I'm just going to spend as little time in it as possible through vidya games, fantasy novels, and sci-fi series.'
>>85576013I spent most of the 2010's like that.I hope you find some cool communities and friends to play with. The image you posted is maximum nostalgia. Spent thousands of hours in older MC versions on servers.Be aware that no matter where you wind up, some asshole is going to start drama that will eventually, at best, see the group members just drifting apart.Avoid being that asshole, and don't try to fight that asshole, 2 more will take his place. Also be aware that doxxing used to be relatively rare, but now every other person on Discord does it passively, for absolutely no reason. I imagine since you're on 4chan, you don't use social media, but incase you need to, do not link gaming and social accounts ever, and don't use you're real name. The furfags you're playing Squad with don't need to know.

>>85576070I can't believe people actually give their real world info online, I still go off my username
>>85576140NTA, but you have people using their whole-ass government names on social media just to shitpost and say controversial things...
>>85576140It's only ever gotten worse over time. Social media, and the selling of personal data, have become so normalized that even random gas stations have rewards apps. Microsoft tried to make people sign into the new Halo game with their smartphone. Bear in mind the game itself is running on another device entirely, and linking accounts and scanning a QR code with a phone are utter unnecessary to make the game work. Even 10 years ago I would encounter zoomers posting geotagged photos on Discord and I'd PM them warning them that they're literally giving their address to random bronies.
