Have you ever heard the theory that, because each year takes up a smaller portion of your life than the previous year, time feels as though it accelerates as you age? For me, the tipping point was around 2017. Since then, each successive year has felt less and less plausible. I often fantasize that this is some simulated existence, and I'll discover at some point that I don't actually age past young adulthood, or that when I die I get to start over with the same memories I have now.

My perception of time has been the same as long as I can remember (i.e. timeblind)

I think this is instead when you are a wagie and your day is so repetitive that you struggle to differentiate one day to the next, one month to the next, one year to the next.

I think that's part of it but also if all you do is doomscroll after work (or you're unemployed) the days will all blend together because after a certain point your brain doesn't record memories unless they're novel. You have to do interesting stuff or every day will be boring and forgettable.

I have all the ability and funds to do whatever the fuck I want, but it seems like a lot of effort. *yawns* think i'd rather stay home instead tbqh
