As a man is it normal to be hyper sensitive to any communication with women in an overtly sexualised fashion?Even when it comes to girlfriends/wives of friends and family do you find yourself un-needingly percieving the communication through an incredibly powerful sexual lense?I have read this can be a childhood trauma response but given you can't ask these things in confidence to those around you i think this is the right place to ask

>>85582092What do you mean?> As a man is it normal to be hyper sensitive to any communication with women in an overtly sexualised fashion? If the sexualization is done overtly, you don't have to be hyper sensitive to see it, right? That's what the word "overtly" means.> Even when it comes to girlfriends/wives of friends and family do you find yourself un-needingly percieving the communication through an incredibly powerful sexual lense?Communication with who? Communication of them between each other, or communication between you and them? Some people seem more "pure and innocent" than others, it's not just about sexualization, but in general, some people seem totally immersed in what's happening in the present moment. But other people seem one step removed from reality, it's like they're watching through a powerful lense, be it sexual, or vanity, seeking validation, trying to look cool, etc. Is that what you're talking about?
