Why don't people value hard work anymore? You fucking guys just sit around and REFUSE to work while things deteriorate. China gets stronger and you guys just want to collect social assistance. Do you have any pride?

More like boomers REFUSE to hire anyone. Hire a couple of people for half the minimum wage and then complain about their slaves not slaving enough for the miserable pay they offer.

i mean he's right, but it's not necessarily the workers who don't value hard work

If you value hard work in the information/automation age you are just a retard. The only work worth doing is automating away hard work. This is why gymceling is actually a good thing to do. There is no reason good reason to use your body otherwise unless out of necessity.

I'm going to lift some artificial gym implements right now just to spite this pretentious grifting faggot.

because we are in the age of demoralization

The previous material conditions were ones that made such an ideological environment propitious.
Entry-level work was abundant, and an employee would work hard and be rewarded for it in the form of stable employment with a possibility of career advancement. Today, however, entry-level work is scarce, and it is such that, even for experienced workers, employment is unstable, with companies not hesitating to lay off people. To add insult to injury, employees often find that the only possibility for a raise or career advancement is to transfer companies, as employees are not rewarded for their loyalty.
TL;DR: Companies don't value employees, so employees don't value working hard for the company.
