Just realized that I've been ripping myself off for years. This is the phone plan I've been using since 2016 and I've never changed it. Even though 50 dollars a month with the same company gives me 12.5x more data

Nowadays, mobile providers just give you 100GB of data pretty easily. Back in the 2010s, if you went to one of those budget providers you would be very limited on the data they gave you before throttling it to unusable status.

Thats what I did when I was in university, I had this cheap 50 plan for bare minimum unlimited talk and text with almost no useable data allotment. I just never updated it or got on a new plan and the provider never updated it for automatically.

This is what 50/month gets you now which is insanely better. I could have been paying the same amount for this, but instead I was paying 50 a month for 10 years for some trash

Is this a different company?

Same company. I just spent like 30 minutes on the phone with them to update it to what I should be getting
