/nightwalk/ thread. Anons convinced me to keep this going so that they can post pics of Halloween decorations this month. Previous: >>85693298Feel free to post pics and/or stories from your nightwalks or whatever you feel like sharing. Same as always, I'll bump with comfy nightwalking doomers.
There was a documentary on people who go on nightwalks, using different /r9k/ users.
>>85699833Wtf? Was it about the /nightwalk/ thread?
>>85699833Any idea what it was called? I can't find anything about it on YouTube, but you did inspire me to look up comfy night walk videos on there. This one seems interesting, I love fog in general, there's nothing more atmospheric in this world: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTkLBt4c9fs
>>85699833I hope they included a depiction of me getting flashbanged by God's light shining out of a car's headlights.
>>85699867Also, before I forget, Emil Cioran was the original nightwalker. Not only was he a very pessimistic and nihilistic philosopher, but he suffered from serious insomnia throughout most his life and went on night walks when he was unable to sleep. His surname comes from an old Romanian word for thief.
>>85699833https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlogsZh8zqAWas it this? I looked in the archive
>>85699867>>85699883And that video I posted is actually from Romania. I didn't even realize it at first. Maybe my unconscious mind realized it and reminded me of Cioran.
>>85699871Hopefully it's too dark for them to be able to see that after the car passes I stand there like a retard for 30 seconds straight, not moving, waiting for my vision to come back.
>>85699885Yes that's the one. It was a comfy watch.
>>85699916Julius Evola was also a nightwalker. He went out for a nightwalk in Vienna while it was being bombed. He got injured and made him wheelchair bound.
I remember one California summer when the fires were so bad (in a different part of the state) that the smoke blowing in this direction made it basically night time for a whole day, but with a tinge of orange in the sky. I went for my usual walk and found it to be a bit more pleasant than usual due to the nice smoky scent in the air.
>>85700173That sounds very toxic and nice.I like nightwalks through the fog.
>>85700173>nice smoky scent in the airThat's such a double edged sword though. If it's subtle, it's very pleasant, but if it's even just a little bit too intense it completely ruins the experience for me.
Night walking idk if I posted this one
I, I live among the creatures of the nightI haven't got the will to try and fightAgainst a new tomorrow, so I guess I'll just believe itThat tomorrow never comesA safe night (You take my self, you take my self control)I'm living in the forest of a dream (You take my self, you take my self control)I know the night is not as it would seem (You take my self, you take my self control)I must believe in something, so I'll make myself believe it (You take my self, you take my self control)This night will never go
time to embrace the terror
>>85699599went for a nice evening walk just got back. It's spring in my cuntry.
There seem to be quite a few nightwalk channels on YouTube, this one appeared in my recommended. It's the perfect combo of quiet Swedish towns + empty streets + fog.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyidGfugmvkhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-e7R9OwR1Qs
A bump for a chump.
>>85701967I feel like I'm being targeted here. If someone has caught me in 4k on a nightwalk and uploaded it to yt, I'll kill myself.Anyone else ever do forest nightwalks? The towns can be comfortable and wistful, but the woods are something special
>>85702601I'm not gonna go into details, but a local celebrity former gangster turned vlogger used to film many street walking vlogs like these and he passed by a girl I had a crush on in one of the videos. This was many years ago and she hit the wall insanely hard since then (full on droopy face unattractive cat lady hag mode in just a few years). I'm not exactly Ryan Reynolds myself, but still. In any case, it's no big deal, nobody gives a shit that you got filmed in a random video, night walk or not. What are you worried about? Also, to answer your question, forests at night sound like pure nightmare fuel to me. I'm sure they're an interesting experience, but I'd still be on edge the entire time.
>>85702916Gangster turned celeb turned vlogger filming your crush, huh. What a coincidence you saw her there. Yeah, I recently met an ex I never quite got over by accident, and seeing who she was now freed me from nostalgia and what-ifs. I'm being cruel for no reason, but it really did feel relieving to see that I'm not attracted to her and wouldn't want to be around her.Well, I guess there's not much to worry about, but to me half the comfort of nightwalking is in feeling like I'm not being watched. It's freeing, lets me detach from my public daytime persona. People walking around recording youtube videos would defeat that. And it's not so spooky out there. Most nights are surprisingly bright, and our night vision is better than people think, as long as you let yourself acclimate to it. Sometimes you stumble upon other people, but they're either homeless, kids getting high, or campers, and all of those get way more spooked by you than you do by them. It mostly annoys me and makes me socially anxious to encounter them.
>>85702601i found out there's a 24/7 webcam pointed at one of my main nighttime hangouts and it was deeply upsetting
I live in the ghetto so I can't go on night walks or I'll get stabbed or shot. There's not much to see anyway, just druggies pissing in the streets.
solidary bumpanyone here read confessions of an english opium eater? its essential nightwalk-literatureim taking a stroll to through the cemetary night in honor of this thread. God blesss that they stopped locking up the cemetary after closing time some years ago. Now you can go throught it whenever you want
>>85699599I used to go on nightwalks all the time but now days that's impossible. My town is full of homeless, junkies, and loose vicious dogs roaming around everywhere else that the homeless/junkies aren't. I'm trying my hardest to figure out a way out of here so I can return to having some sort of ability to go for a nightwalk again. I've lost all motiviation and happiness since I haven't been able to do it since I absolutely fucking hate the sun.
i'm going nightwalking now, i'll take some pics maybe
