>I can never go back to 2015>I can never go back to 2010>I absolutely can never go back to 2008I feel like I'll be forever nostalgic, but I know I can't stay this way. Everything about life now feels...empty, almost as if it's all just a stage on some 90s or early-2000s sitcom set; nothing feels like it's 'real' or actually matters, and each week feels episodic. At 37, life looks nothing like I thought it would by now. I just don't know. Maybe I should try to reenlist.
ive been thinking about joining the army but i heard some things that go on there are pretty dark. im 24 and about to turn 25 i feel a similar way about my life atm
>>85701085Lucky for you, you're in an era where information is widely and easily available. You can watch plenty of videos (both official and anecdotal) about how the branches are, how they operate, how Basic Training is, and what jobs you can/should do for the best quality of life while in. Even right now, I'm watching a video where a guy is talking about HIS first three weeks in Basic. Bit nostalgic for me.All that being said, you should consider the Space Force.>I am neither a glowie nor a recruiter
Current year military wants hunks, not uncs
>>85701100why do you recommend space force though? i feel like you would need some kind of degree or higher education to get the most out of that branch
>>8570115137 is hardly "unc." I'm a 90s-kid.>>85701155It's the only branch that is strictly STEM-focused, with the Air Force being a close second, and it has the overall best quality of life out of all the branches. Plus, I'd imagine most of the people who come to this site regularly would be smart enough to qualify, or at least smart enough NOT to intentionally go Marines or Army.
>>85701069I'm 39, and I honestly don't miss the past. It was equally kind of shitty. The economy feels exactly the same. Zoomers are getting fucked over just like millennials did. In fact, what I dislike is how similar things are to the past.Stuff that used to be cool and edgy are now mainstream. Everything is Web 2.0 garbage and heavily moderated.
>>85701181It would be kind of a nightmare going back to 2008 knowing how bad it will get. I feel like there is a lot of stuff to look forward to in the next few years.
>>85701196I'd like to be the age I was in 2008 again, but, like, not in 2008-2011. Fuck the Great Recession.
>>85701181>>85701196>>85701237In 2008 I would often spend hours watching "Is it a good idea to microwave this," fail compilations, and youtube poop.Cum to think of it, it wasn't until early 2009 when I started watching porn regularly also discovered 4chan for the first time, and then those things quickly became the majority of my internet time.
