It's a rich old man fraternity. They don't do much.

Joined this year, did all three degrees. The rituals are basic, but ultimately I'm dropping it because it operates as a pseudoreligion for boomers. Aleister Crowley actually nailed it: he liked the symbols and the meaning, but realized the institution was just tied up in the same standard social programming as everything else, totally neutering its original purpose. On top of failing esoterically, it completely fails practically- it doesn't function as an actual social lodge or third space for young men anymore. Double failure. Do not recommend

America's true religion for better or for worse.

I think they're pretty much just larpers and besides secret handshakes they don't really have anything cool going.

Afaik the nazis raided them and were kinda disappointed at not really finding anything interesting

Secret societies are not particularly known for writing things down.
>>
It just rips off Old Testament writings, focusing "esoterically" on King Solomon's Temple to "take good men and make them better." As if boomers have any idea how to actually make anything better. What they really mean is "take young men and make them fully functional cogs in a sick societal machine." And they can't even do that right, because it's completely dead as a social lodge for young guys anyway, so it offers zero practical value. True esoteric refinement is supposed to chip away the societal noise and programming that blinds a person to their true self, not cement them into it.

You probably joined a lodge for normies, the real stuff is in the lodges nobody knows about

Real original normie here folks.

The "secret hidden lodge" cope is one of the most pathetic delusions in esoteric circles. It is the exact mindset Crowley spent his life destroying: the belief that "Daddy Institution" has the real magic locked in a vault, and if you're just a good enough boy, they'll let you in.

You're just mad you're not in the know so you can't reap any benefits

didn't crowley admittedly have no issue with lying? he shouldn't be your main source on anything but his own weird beliefs.

"The student must verify everything for himself... In this book it is spoken of the Sephiroth and the Paths; of Spirits and Conjurations... but it is neither to be believed or disbelieved." - Crowley

I already verified Freemasonry by becoming a Master Mason myself. Get on the level plebs.

So what do you all actually do? I think organized institutions are pretty gay so I never cared to wanna join, but I've read some Kabbalahistic and Gnostic stuff. You are just supposed to praise Yahweh who is secretly Lucifer or something? Any thoughts on El, Asherah, or Sophia?
>>
I could care less about it desu nothing about it entices me probably christcucks in a cult many such cases

>bro thinks the local Blue Lodge is a shadowy cabal of Gnostic warlocks debating the nature of the Demiurge and summoning Canaanite goddesses.

brosef, you're looking for a Gnostic mystery cult. Freemasonry is an HOA meeting with aprons. Nobody in the lodge knows who Asherah or Sophia are, and if you mentioned the Demiurge, they'd think it was a new brand of arthritis medication. It's just generic, watered-down Old Testament moralizing for boomers. After they dead pan recite scripts of said moralizing from memory we give some hand symbols and then eat in a dining hall. oooo so esoteric bro.

I'm well aware of the surface level culture of these places from secondary sources. A friend of mine lives close to a lodge and we looked up the numerology of the long and lat and it was what you'd expect about control and blah blah blah. Deep takes on how most influential people are in the group in modernity and history, like the founding fathers and such. I'm asking how it is if you've been, and what you actually do there, even if it's against one of the rules of secrecy or whatever.

Sounds very underwhelming. I suppose Skull and Bones and Bohemian Grove and of course Little Saint James is where the more ritualistic satanic parties happen then? You guys don't even do any Kabbalah shit like trying to astral project or something? Wouldn't be surprised if you told me it's basically just another sect of Christian zionism by the sound of it and the old testament. And so? If you do know about Sophia and Asherah then what's your take on the theories? What line of thought is closest to having anything meaningful to say?

I've known Freemasons, it is exactly that.

It's for people who desperately want to have secret super knowledge they can feel special about over the simpletons who only have plain old regular knowledge. That, and be social group that gives special benefits and perks to each other simply for existing.

It's just a hierarchy based on nonsense from the ancient world with ranks assigned arbitrarily according to the whims of the leaders. So, a religion.l

Friendly reminder that 98% of "freemasons" actually have no idea what happens upstairs. If you haven't participated in a ritual sacrifice of some kind you're simply a useful idiot.
