If your best friend who you message everyday completely disappeared from your life would you let them back if they showed up some time later?
Of course, if they have an explanation. Life can be really hard and gets wild sometimes, friends and partners should be the fun and easy part.

Not the same group of people, but I'm pretty sure the WoW guild I left behind once must have thought I died or something since they kept me in the guild long after I left, despite it being a raiding guild that generally kicked for inactivity. Before I left, I said that I was going on vacation (which was true) and that I'll be back in however long the trip was, but I never did. That was only because at the time I had no card to pay for shit online with so I was going to a gamestop to physically buy timecards, and I was too lazy to do that after I got back so I stopped playing for several years.
