I give up on the tech industry. I will get my English major degree and become a teacher.

It isn't an option here, my degree's exact name is English Studies: Language and Linguistics.
I did two semesters/one year after high school. Everyone here told me that I won't be able to do anything but becoming a teacher with that degree, got scared because I really want to help my family with money so I switched majors.
The re-enrolling period ended last month, I went yesterday just to beg them if they could accept me, and it worked out eventually after the administration saw how I validated all of my modules.
It's been years and my professors still remember me, I've been ecstatic about that for the entire day.

I hoped to find another job after I quit my last one without looking for a replacement. Now Ive been unemployed for a year and my last application was sent out before summer. At least I have plenty of time to jerk off and play video games now, but I am starting to really get used to this comfy life.

>I would like an Italian latte, please.
You said go to STEM, I did. I got the diploma that says I can work with computers, full-stack development, and networking stuff, but no job.
Instead of sitting down waiting for an interview, I made a move. If the AI bubble finally bursts and Claude Code and Cursor are no longer a thing, I will happily shred my English degree. If not? Then I will be seeing your non-existent children by 8 AM, Mr. Anon.
Btw your imaginary son is very well read, you must read to him every night, you are a great father Mr Anon, you wouldn't believe how fathers like you are dime a dozen in our current times

Why the fuck would you want to teach english out of all things? Everyone teaches it, it's like you want to fight for scraps with every other nigger who thought the same. I teach programming and there are so few competent people in public sector when it comes to teaching programming that I get decent money and great job security because they have no one to replace me with. Everyone who went into programming fights for junior positions like rats in hopes they'll someday promote and earn more. Bar for teaching in public sector is incredibly low so it's not like I have to constantly take courses to learn new technologies. Just like once every few years when program gets updated. Go teach something practical, technical and useful instead of being just another english ape.

I'm applying to government teaching jobs with my programing degree, the problem is the exams for those jobs are random and they announce available positions in different times each year
Instead of doing nothing I went back to English, I'm enlisted in a a bunch of government jobs exams, if I pass them I will leave if not I would at least end this year with an associate degree .
That's my plan at least, it isn't that bad, right?
