Why are men with white collar jobs still sad? Why can't they just enjoy the fact that they'll never have to work a real job? You can retire early in the Philippines and find a beautiful wife there.

Job doesn't have tenure lol, specially now in the ai era.

But if you feel your life is boring that's on you, go outside like those instagrams you admire, nobody is stopping you at all

Well, I finally got one a year after graduating, will start in about a month, and I feel empty inside. There's no bliss but only misery ahead, since you're now just a cog in a machine, wearing a fake smile to work and talking to colleagues as if you're the happiest man alive, just so you could get that paycheck, but at the end of the day you're not happy because the only thing that could make you happy (a beautiful and loving wife) has still been missing for most of your life and will not be found anytime soon. Best you could do is escortmax or attempt to run a business and escape wagie hell.

You know damn well those TikToks and IGs only work for women and normie sex havers. If you go outside while not having a gf or with nothing to do you're wasting your time, no one takes cold approachers seriously.

Blue collar is much better in my opinion because you're physically exercising all day and there's teamwork involved sometimes but you can work by yourself and don't have to deal with like HR culture or workplace culture or whatever cringe comes with white collar

You pick up heavy thing you move heavy thing around and you rinse and repeat that

Or if you get more Blue collar like becoming a firefighter or a construction worker you get to deal with a bunch of cool machines or literally fight fire with awesome suits that are essentially immune to fire

I would never want to work White collar unless it was like some quiet job at a library I think that sounds peaceful I wouldn't mind working at a library if it paid well enough but I would still have that part of me that itches for a sense of accomplishment from physical input into the work I'm doing

Yes, but blue collar work comes with a massive downside (which is why I avoided it): You put your own life at risk. I used to work as an operator at a pharmaceutical company, sniffing fine particles from vitamins getting crushed up to 12 hours a day (3/4 day work weeks). OSHA doesn't account for stuff like that, and they don't verify that it's being properly followed. I worked there for a year but probably shortened my life by 5-10 years. Blue collar jobs are hell.

Man.. I want to head and went to school, got the degree, went into the field and lasted about 2 years and finally walked away since they wouldn't pay me fairly. It's like every single job I had since I was 12 years old, was a place that took advantage of my loyalty or took it for granted. I don't know. So I finally walk away from My Chosen field, and joined the navy. I had excellent evaluations all the way to the end when they kicked me out, and they even gave me a glowing evaluation on the occasion of my separation. Bullshit that they wrote down for my separation was that I couldn't hack it. Failure to adapt. Didn't make any sense. I had already done two deployments! It was just a lie. And that's what kind of broke my brain, and I wasn't able to work for bosses anymore.

I complained to Veterans affairs, they looked into my situation and all sorts of interviews with people, and would you believe it... 100% VA disability! They broke the part of me that Associated hard work and quality work, with reward. Because you see, I only ever got taken advantage of and never rewarded. Watched others do way less and be awarded. I retired with great benefits, at the age of 25! Failing, especially when it's not your fault, isn't a bad thing when you fail in the right circumstance. Got to fail hard in a job that is structured to pay out disability I guess.

Did a quick search and I've posted this before, maybe a couple years ago, in some other thread. And I just wanted to post this because if you look in the bottom right, you're going to see that they marked me for early promote, plus recommended me for retention as they were kicking me out! Everywhere I go on life, I'm always getting mixed signals.

Completely agree with you and a lot of it's really dependent on the sector sort of like white collar as well

Like there genuinely is some white collar jobs where you can just sit around taking deep breaths relaxing all day in some warm window lighting environment while getting paid 200k a year for it

And then in other sectors you have some corporate boss you never even have spoken to with a constant stick up their ass constantly barking orders at you and threatening your entire job if you don't triple your workload inside a dingy cramped cubicle from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Also in Blue collar it's like yeah you can make a few thousand a week in some sectors where you're just lifting heavy things all day or operating machinery while constantly goofing off and teasing your coworkers

But then in other sectors it's like you're breaking your spine constantly breathing in some unknown and undiscovered fume element of the periodic table that's going to give you 10 different types of cancer in 10 years at like 2:00 a.m.

Like all jobs it's really just a matter of luck

You get a good boss and you get a good place to work and you'll probably have a good time

Of course there's the banter between blue collar and white collar but that really just comes down to whether you're better with computer technical skills or ape bang big Rock

Well I tell you what, if I won one of those scratch off tickets, $1,000 a week for life, you wouldn't see me working ever again!
