I have a chin like this but worse and I fucking hate it, so I have a huge beard to cover it up, but I hate having a beard too. At certain lengths it grows all fucking stupid. My cheeks grow in thin and patchy. If I cut it too short you can see through it, too long and it grows straight out and looks fucking stupid. My chin hairs grow down for like an inch then out at like a 90 degree angle at the length that would look best so I always have to keep it a bit longer and look like a fucking bum. It's impossible to trim in a way that looks good. I tried having a barber do it a few times and they do it worse than me. I always look retarded. I'm fucking sick of it. It's probably one of the main reasons I'm a non-sex-haver. I don't know what I'm supposed to do to not look like an idiot. I think my only option is to disappear from my normal life for a few months and have chin surgery and come back beardless but that would cost a fortune.

That doesn't look like a chin problem it looks like a mandibular problem then you probably just have a shorter mandible because the chin looks completely fine

I have a very long mandible but my upper maxilla is so forwardly projected that it makes my chin appear illusionarily set behind relative to its position

So I sometimes do the stubble to cover it up because I get a bit insecure about it but then I shave it off because I don't care

Usually mandible issues like that can cause skin sagging in the neck later on as aging starts to become more prominent from sun damage

Idk I also have a really thin lower lip and big upper lip that projects out over the thin one, and big nose so it all just really accentuates the problem. I have to keep my moustache long to cover it up as well. I hate my stupid fucking face and the fact that I'll never be able to shave without constantly looking like I sucked something bitter.

Man I wish I had a giga Chad chin as well that projected super forward I mean for you there's double jaw surgery but that's painful as hell and is basically irreversible if it looks like crap besides that's usually a reserved for people that actually need it for some kind of abnormality

You can rock the thick beard and be fine man in fact in evolutionary psychology a big beard is complete positive for your face in male on male social interaction because it subconsciously signals maturity and sexual opposition so therefore tribal leadership because of high testosterone levels

And yeah it would probably be crappy to never be able to shave because we all know how good a clean shave can feel that's why I always end up shaving my stubble but a beard can genuinely add some great projection if it's done right

Plus a really good beard is quite rare I don't really ever see anybody and think wow dang that guy is a really good beard maybe like once a year I do

Most guys grow their beard out because they forgot to shave or they're depressed and unkempt
