If you could go back to the single-most important turning point you experienced in your young adulthood,>what would it be?>what would you have done differently?>what would have been the expected outcome? For me, I guess I'd say that point was when I was in Army Basic Training. I should've really locked-in and understood the gravity of what I was doing, then go off and really make something of myself instead of getting kicked out during AIT. Morning PT in the cold sucked, sure, but I could've made it work.
>>85712941well i would go back to 2009 and invest in bitcoin. i would also be smarter and able to do better in school
>>85712945Guess I could've seen that coming. And indeed, I'd have done that, too...and regular stonks.
>>85712952i would also try to mitigate the psychosis i developed in 2011, although that is still 2 years away from 2009. the main thing, more important to me than bitcoin, is getting at least a 3.3 college gpa so i'd have some grad options
I think the decision to skip the orientation week at the start of uni was a bad decision that snowballed and lead to me becoming a hikikomori. Probably still happens regardless because of what my mental state was at the time but it's one of the few things I actually regret in my life.
>>85712960If it isn't too traumatic, what was the nature of this...psychosis?>>85712962>orientation weeklawl, I not only started uni kinda 'suddenly' abroad, but I literally did zero "typical university" things when I transferred stateside. No orientation, no dorm-events, nothing...just studying, interning, exercising, and grocery shopping.>pic very much related
>>85712974>If it isn't too traumatic, what was the nature of this...psychosis?someone i used to know referred ot it as boneitis which is kind of apt
I was always well aware that i was too mentally retarded to go to college or study for any kind of useful skill or even in the fields i have an interest in, so i would do the same as the bitcoin anon and invest in some meme shit that i could leech off of later in life while lacking any actual valuable learned skills.
>>85713271Ever feel like you're just coasting through life on auto-pilot? That's me these days. Every day feels like another cell in the same prison, just slightly different paint jobs on the walls.
