my friend is an alcoholic and is visiting, he's an alcoholic that's been clean for three years and he insists on doing a "controlled relapse" this weekend and wants me to come along with him. basically he wants to get drunk one night and then promise himself he won't drink the next morning no matter what. he also he said he would attend an AA meeting the next day.i'm not comfortable doing this with him, partly because i don't wan to see him spiral into alcoholism again and partly because i know his mother/wife will blame me in part for the fact that he relapsed (i used to do drink a lot with him when he was still drinking and am viewed as somewhat of a bad influence even though he was the one who was always egging ME on to drink more when we would)how do i tell him to fuck off without impacting the friendship
