Hypothetically speaking, if a straight guy likes a female character but his dreams, fantasies and imagination don't let him see her in a sexual way, is he still considered straight?
He sees that character and her personality as the epitome and embodiment of ideal femininity.

You're still straight retard, it's a female character after all. Finding her beautiful, feeling empathy, idealizing her, appreciating her. They all count, not just sexual desire. You consider her the epitome of ideal femininity, that's very heterosexual.

(It's still just a drawing, she aint real.)

Thank you, I kinda feel weird because sometimes I talk to her like an imaginary friend lying next to me until I fall asleep (fully clothed)

You wanna hear something funny? She's from an old cartoon that I've seen like 10 years ago, ever since, I've gotten very good at talking to women and befriending them hoping that I'll find one with her personality, and apparently fiction is fiction for a reason. I fail disappointed from wasting my time on that friendship so I end up ghosting them.

That's okay, you don't have to lower your standards, and your tulpae keeps you company. With time, what you desire might change or evolve though.
