For a long time during my youth I had the idea I was 'afraid' of women, or that I was too shy or awkward because I never talked to them. All I could manage was a simple 'hi' or 'how are you'.
But now I realize it was never that. I simply had absolutely nothing in common with girls around me. I never became enthusiastic about discussing something with a girl because they never ever understood anything I did or thought. I could never nerd out about some movie or game or new show with a girl, could never show them the latest funny memes or other kind of media.
And now, like 15 years after highschool this is still the case.
I can with full 100% confidence say I have never, ever, heard any girl or woman mention or talk about a single videogame irl. Ever. And so I don't talk to any of them.

Isn't that just the funniest conclusion.
