Before I quit my last job I was convinced all of management were those reptile aliens Kyle Odom talked about. There was a stupid potluck lunch one day at work and I was nauseous so I didn't eat. I was probably the only one sitting there not eating. For some reason all of management all at once sat around me in a circle and talked amongst themselves pretending I wasn't there. The way I was positioned they had to pretty much talk right through me to one another since I was directly between them. It was bizarre like some passive aggressive intimidation for not taking part in their ritual. There was no reason to position themselves like this as there were plenty of spots to sit all over. They were talking about weird shit like getting plastic surgery because they saw a celebrity get work done. It was utterly disgusting and satanic.
He's just trying to increase the bond with you. How else is he supposed to know you don't want it if you don't say anything. Maybe you are just super shy and appreciate the little bits of human contact, no way for him to know.

They will try to sus out what your problem is. The workplace is a viper pit. If anything nice happens it's an incidental side effect of social maneuvering.
