My ssd got corrupted and I fucking lost all the files I had. All the stuff I've acumulated since I was a pre-teenager, all my .psd files, my drawings, writing ideas and rare (and ordinary) .pdf. It's all gone now. I don't feel good, anons. How would you feel if your wife hit her head and lost all her memories? It's depressing, right? My carefully curated chan folder of 1000+ files: gone. My Fate/Stay Night save with 120 hours of gameplay: gone. I only have a single fucking image saved now, and that is the image of this opening post. All the cool threads I had saved too. How people even feel when their relatives start developing amnesia? How would you feel if you had amnesia and lost your memory from the last 11 years of your life?

Have you tried using recovery software?
I wonder if I would really care. I've accidentally wiped my phone or computer a few times, never really kept me down for too long, I see it as a fresh start.

Hoestly you should've expected it from the start. What I have is not much and yet I still save them to a bunch of pendrives (I'm too much of a poorfag for anything else.)

The technician tried several methods and said that the only way of recovering was to send the ssd to a specialized lab or something like that, and that was something expensive to do.
>fresh start
It is a way you could see it. I still think it is a bad start, as if you were reborn but missing one of your legs or something like that. That probably wasn't the best analogy I could've made but I hope it makes a little sense.

baptism by blood, now you'll remember to make backups
>>85721437
ssds are like batteries, if you keep them off for long periods or on the other hand use them 24/7 without stopping, they will fail easily

Good reminder for me to back up my files.
I suppose that even though USB sticks are less reliable than standard hard drives it's better if you have them duplicated over many locations
>>85721461
Oh, sorry anon :( Is the drive still usable? Will you repurpose it?

Yeah I guess there's not really many ways to spin this loss in a positive way...

i can relate i accidentally spilt hot tea on my ssd and it got fuckin DESTROYED
>>
Brootal man. My condolences
>>
can we delete everybody above this post from existence? retarded newfags are nothing, deserve nothing, and should become nothing asap.
>>
You can finally start over and leave your life of piss poor tastes behind
>>
That's terrifying to think about. I have so much hentai and eroge saved that has since become lost media.
