it's just a lot easier for men to build muscle than women and it's easier for them to maintain it. not to mention we're shorter and lighter on average.
i used to work out a lot and i only got defined muscles when i was doing it everyday consistantly and eating really healthy and it went away really quickly when i got sick of that. my uncle has defined muscles eating horribly and doing push ups whenever he feels like it (which is not often) and in part because he used to ride a bike weekly like months ago and he's a lot older than me.
