They are already attractive people, and they get some modifications and makeup done. There's a clear difference between the Korean super bimbo gangnam look and the normal kpop star look. For the plastic gangnam look you can tell that person was originally very very ugly and needed tons of surgery for their face. They already have decent features, making them distinctive, and basically what producers will do is look around the streets and notice their features and scout them.They become idols and then the producers want to make them look even better so they get some modifications and makeup. Kpop idols are actually the least plastic people in Korea.
