If a mother had sexual partners before her husband, does she love those strangers more than her son? She doesn't have sex with him, doesn't deep kiss him, doesn't take him in her mouth, doesn't sleep with him in the nude, nothing. She claims to love her son, claims to have some respect and care, some level of intimacy, but she treats her son with less affection than a stranger.
I don't think it holds up, but there is at least some argument that she's now loyal solely to her husband.So then in the case of a mother divorcing or being widowed and then finding a new partner instead of devoting herself to her son, I think there's no argument at all that she doesn't love her son.
