I went to the dentist for the first time in 10 years today because I thought I never needed to go since nothing hurt and I brush/floss religiously. Anyway I need my wisdom teeth extracted and will probably need to wear braces for 2 years as well to correct my bite which is slightly too deep.Point being you shouldn't avoid the medical system anons. I've never been to a doctor or even general practicioner once in my life since I was like 10 so who knows what horrors they will find when I finally make an appointment. Maybe I have 6 different types of cancer or something.

Some dentists shill wisdom tooth removal for people who don't truly need it. A "too deep" bite is not a valid reason for orthodontics. If your teeth are cosmetically acceptable (no huge gaps, crooked angles, etc.) and you have no problems eating then you don't need them. My parents forced me into braces when I was a preteen because I have a 1mm gap between my incisors and I had to deal with that bullshit for 2 years. Immediately stopped wearing my retainer afterwards (they expect you to sleep with plastic and metal in your mouth for like btw) and my teeth went back to normal. Every woman I've stuck my penis in said my teeth looked normal. I just don't really understand how I could get such bad news since I've never had a single cavity or hole and generally do alright taking care of them. I think their concern was that my upper and lower teeth are kind of rubbing together because of my bite and it'll mean they'll break down eventually. Still it's not like we do preventative surgeries to stop a problem 20 years away (to my knowledge). I probably will get the wisdom teeth taken out since they're at an angle and could cause tooth crowding. I guess it couldn't hurt.

Anon, dental offices in the US are often owned by private equity and dentists are under pressure to do unnecessary procedures on you, to earn money from you.Diagnose yourself with AI first. If you have no pain or issue of any sort with your mouth, all of dentistry science says there's no need to actually do any procedures.NEVER trust a doctors, and especially NEVER trust a fucking dentist just because of something he said. Always do your own research, especially now with AI/LLM it should be trivial.
