Malls are pretty cyberpunk while rest of US is strip malls and cardboard houses the mall is bazaar. Do you go to mall
mine got BLACKED so no
No but if I had time I'd go around visiting dead/closing malls just to soigape at the liminalness
>>85834138My nearest mall is all weebs, gamers, emos, scene kids, vape kids, clearance stores, and mostly local businesses minus like gamestop, macys, and nordstrom rack. Its actually been getting quite bisy again with nostalgia lovers and nerdsIts actually pretty based desuki
>>85834138The mall closest to me feels like the back rooms. Its so empty and quiet there. I have no idea how it stays open, most of the shops are closed. I love it though.
>>85834138Yeah. Sometimes I visit the mall by my old hometown. Feels like I'm in a half dead capitalist corpse. 3/4ths of the stores are gone, the two story movie theater and the food court are husk, got weird side venters who are literally just garage sells, shops cannibalizing other shops. Only thing keeping that property alive is the IKEA, a big named department store, and arcade/bowling alley.Other two malls in my general area are fine. It's just the old hometown town mall that got hit the hardest from COVID and more or less resembles abandoned Soviet shit. Also those comic assholes need to learn to actually label and categorize their fucking shit.
>>85834138There was a mall that I used to go through that was a stubborn holdout from the 80s, same architecture and everything. Most of the stores abandoned the place but you could see all the stuff they left behind even if they were long abandoned, there was this one store that seemed fucking endless, all these random toys in disorganized shelves that almost is like a maze, fucking miss that mall
>>85834138>be me>grow up in small town in rural michigan>town had a mall attached to the k-mart(some of you have probably never heard of k-mart)>actually went there often in high school>this was back when you still bought music on CD's and cassettes>bought my first playstation there when I got a job washing dishes>years go by, everything closes, only thing left there is the DMV>actually still go there when I visit my hometown>mall is all locked up and abandoned so I just ride around the parking lot on my bike pretending I'm in Dawn of the Dead>heard the roof collapsed from too much weight after a snowstorm>wonder if they'll tear it down eventually
>>85835596What was the mall like anong? The vibes
>>85835684The thing I remember most about it is the smell of the new shoes and clothes. The floor was all brown tiles so it kind of looked like the floor of a bathroom at a chain restaurant. There was a fountain at one time but it was eventually removed. The vibe was completely subdued, it was kind of like being in the waiting room at the dentist.
>>85835790thanks for the free memories, interesting but slightly sad stuff
malls make me more uncomfortable than any other kind of place i've been in
>>85836126You cant drop a interesting bit and not explain
>>85834138I went to a mall recently, when there's online shopping, malls seem like the most vapid, unnecessary, consumerist slop wastes of space. I think all malls should be teared down and turned into parks or something.
>>85834279>soigape at the liminalnessthis and nigger booths selling phone case slop are killing the dead mall
