When you inevitably get laid off by AI what's your plan?
>>
SHE CALL ME DADDY I DON'T EVEN KNOW HER MAMMA

AI has reverse engineered Adobe suite software, rebuilt it from scratch from the ground up, and released it for free. Adobe is a billion dollar company with no product.

The people that did that to Adobe have their eyes set on Microsoft next. Microsoft will soon have no product either.

Jack off until I die. Like literally, lay in bed and cum over and over until dehydration and starvation leave me a dishevelled , withered corpse-person

YEAH AIIGHT

As much as I would love to see it happen, those vibe coded piece of shit apps are not replacing Adobe products for professionals. They don't even have most of the same basic tool functions or file type compatibility. Not to mention the massive security risks they impose.
>>
>>85834486
Its absolute garbage compared to the real thing, no serious professional or institution will move to it.

It only has value for amateurs, which isn't adobe's target demographic.

Now it could get better and actually begin to rival it, but open source alternatives have existed for decades anyways.
>>
>>85834539
the fact that free and virtually identical versions of those products exist at all is going to shake things up. First of all there are a lot of small scale professionals, studios of <10 people for whom Adobe is one of their biggest costs, taking the risk to use the AI knockoff because the savings are just that good. Then there are amateurs who are gatekept from professional tools because they can't afford the adobe subscriptions, and now they are making art that competes with professional studios using adobe products. The more people using the knockoff stuff, the more community support there will be in patching up problems, meanwhile Adobe is hemorrhaging revenue, their updates will be worse, and their corporate behaviors will become more vile and cash grabby to make up for the loss of revenue.

I do agree that this isn't gonna hurt microsoft quite as much as big enterprise companies aren't going to switch to the AI knockoff when security is on the line, but really who knows if security is going to be an issue when programmers use AI to reverse engineer and subvert security on every layer of every application stack.

Plus schools , companies and institutions force their employees to use them.

I will probably be one of the last go because my job has a combination of manual work, education requirements, and legal accountability. So when I get laid off by AI, the nationwide employment rate will be like 20% or some shit and I won't be any worse of than anybody else. So for that reason I'm not particularly concerned. My industry is pretty recessionproof as well. You can imagine that I do medical lab work or something, although I don't - it's basically on that same plane of existence.
>>
>>85834469
Pesky machine thinking is impacting my quality of life because now I gotta live in survival mode a whole lot more. It's like mass deforestation to my native forests then just a ton of new empty builds in stead. I'm not primitive and these b*stards better clear off our land OR ELSE.
>>
>>85834594
The thing is free alternatives already exist. Its only draw is that it replicates Adobe's ui.

But anyone who actually cares about that can afford to use adobe (and likely wouldn't want to compromise anyways) and anyone who doesn't has no reason not to use the more refined open source programs.
>>
>>85834469
beekeeping maybe. My father has some, but it's not going great because of pesticides
>>
>>85834469
The same thing I did when I got laid off by AI in 2010. The same thing I did when my parents got laid off by AI in 2000, and in 1990, and 1985.
>this time it's different! we have chatbots now!
erm...my job is not chatting with people over text sorry

>>85834469
what if hypothetically people went out and killed the researchers making AI? would the military step in at that point
>>
>>85834935
>went out and killed the researchers making AI?
Their kids will take over the company and then their kids after their kids and so on. That's how it always has been.
>>
>>85834935
google, faceberg, etc are all defacto military controlled
>>
>>85834469
I work manual labour so I need not worry however I am done with boomer shits and working us to death. When it goes wef agenda 2030 you will live in the pod I will blow my brains out
>>
>>85834469
I'll try out that "welfare" thing people are so mad at black people for making use of and see how that goes
>>
>>85834469
Nothing. Accept the incoming UBI check and enjoy tendies and vidya like always. Only difference is now the rest of the world is going to be just like me so it may get more annoying online in places.
>>
>>85834469
They're not getting laid off because of AI as in Artificial Intelligence, they're getting laid off because of AI as in Actually Indians.

120k H1Bs coming up for Microsoft
>>
>>85834469
Keep collecting welfare and live in a white enclave
>>
>>85834469
Go on welfare and live in a van. Seriously the van life is underrated

I'm in a warehouse where picrel is a regular occurrence, so I've still got time. I'm thinking of just pulling a runner when that time does come, however.

>physically demanding work, would probably break a robot 10x faster than anything else
>not "mentally demanding" in the sense of education or anything but you have to unload anyshit that comes off the truck and can't be a narrowly focused machine
>don't get paid enough to bother replacing until robots are cheaper than a car
yeah you're going to be unloading rugs until the bitter end

>Adobe software creates shit
>AI can create anything in seconds

Howabout I just don't buy either and keep making whatever I want?

Fuck Adobe, though. They're a horrible predatory company that just buys software and licenses it to you for a fuckton of money.
Now they're on a cocksucking subscription plan. I hope everyone at Adobe get aids from dinosaurs.

>SAAAAAAR DO NOT REDEEEM MY CONTRACT AI IS OF THE SATAN SAAAARS YOU NEED MY HIGHLY ELITE CONTRIBUTION SAARS
>>
>>85834486
lmfao. Artcraft is NOT at all a good FOSS alternative. It's a half baked piece of SHIT. Anybody who has used any of Adobe's creative suite would immediately say it's trash vibe coded clone. It's like the only people shilling that shitstack are people who don't actually make any art to begin with, which tracks, because it's AI people that are championing AI vibe coded "reverse engineered" apps and we all know the only thing you all do is use AI

I just kind of hope that by the time it comes for me it's come for so much of the rest of society that there's a big paradigm shift that benefits me that I can take advantage of
Probably much too optimistic but it's the only thought I have other than losing everything so I kind of lean on it
>>
Shoplifting e-begging and low level scams

I'm very frugal by default, going for early retirement and have already saved enough money in 3yrs of waging to last me 10yrs of NEETing.
Doesn't sound like much but my parents are also money hoarders and as an only child, I'll inherit everything they have, including at least one apartment.
Basically, I'm already quite comfy and in about 2-3 years I'll probably be all set.
I never wanted to work and I don't care if AI takes my job. And it's unlikely to happen anyway for at least another 5 years.
Normies who live paycheck-to-paycheck and carrying lots of debt have always looked like idiots to me. Don't buy what you can't aford, simple as that.
>>
>>85837498
Yeah but in 10 years everything is gonna be twice as expensive
>>
>>85837532
Doesn't really matter to me, because on most months I only need food. And I could realistically cut down on my food intake. Right now I don't even look at food prices, I literally buy whatever I want and don't feel it. And I exercise, so I eat almost twice what I would if I didn't.
Then there's the fact that I invest my money and make 5-7% profit each year. And each year I invest more and make more from it. And I could just sell everything and move to a cheap shithole like Vietnam if I wanted my money to last even longer.
